I couldn't get pass episode 1 on breaking bad few years ago.
Thought there would be a magic that would make me like el Camino.

Genre:Thriller/Mystery

This was by no means a bad flick, it's just that it doesn't simply compare to the original. The best thing I really fancied about chapter 1, was the young casts performances, though am not saying the older ones were bad, as the likes of James McAvoy really made the movie worthwhile. Again, it’s not as compelling as the first chapter, the flick lacked a specific goal, it was just gallivanting all around the place, and for a three hours movie, it simply lacked an engaging narrative.
Finally, that last battle scene with Pennywise was a big letdown, just like the provibal Oliver Twist, i really expected more. For me, it wasn't really a satisfying conclusion to the story set up in the original flick.

I totally agree with you...I loved the first chapter so much. This second wasn't as orgasmic as the first.

I can't stop laughing whenever I remember this quote in the movie: " either we really suck, or this guy is really good".

To me I think he's right, both ways .

He needs to start going for smaller artsy films that'll emphasize his acting chops: and some supporting roles too.

This "I look cool leading man in Blockbusters" image from him has been done for.

He can learn a few things from Denzel.
