But blindness isn't hereditary

So how come??

Its hereditary oh. Most eye problems are affected by genes except the one where somebody had an accident or somebody has acquired an eye-wasting disease like diabetes

Lol

What do you understand by God's omnipotence and omnibenevolence? Have you seen Thomas Aquinas' works on these?

I wouldn't say some things so as not to make people despondent.

Any philosopher here?
Can anyone engage?

Note that you aren't replying a neophyte or one who has no smattering of the issues.

So you must be a pundit a tad before you qualify to delve into these issues.
engage in what ?

This is the manifestation of someone who is intoxicated with knowledge. You are puffed up with knowledge and are typical of people who are good with a hammer and think that every topic is a nail.

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3 But the man who loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8: 1 - 3 NIV

How can an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God stand by and let this happen?. What justification can he possibly have?.

God is either evil or impotent.

CobhamsAsuquo’s wife, Ojuola, opens up in emotional interview how their first son was born blind. Veronica went on to reveal how her son’s blindness has brought her closer to God,

In spite of all that has happened, she said she believes she is making progress which is why she can finally share her story in the open.

David Asuquo, 7, is an excellent pianist just like his famous father Cobhams who was also born blind. Watch the clip

So even the sperm was blind too?

I pray God heals him and gives him his sight
It's very weird for the woman the two men
She loves the most can not behold her beauty
And lovely smile.

Why do they check family history for cancer?

Just as we inherit parental feature to the right in looks or intelligence we do so to the left in sickness.

Sometimes, sarcasm doesn't come out rightly and may portray us in bad light. There's no doubt in my mind that you're not mocking the Cobhams, I'm sure you're not. However, that didn't come through properly. I'll edit that comment and rephrase. I would never question God's creation. Their story is so touchy and emotional. I pray his wife finds strength within her to deal with the issues. I look forward to a time when the blind will actually see!. When the lame will walk, and the dead would hear again. When pain and suffering will all be gone.

Yes, there are hundreds of inherited eye diseases. Even if its not blindness, wearing glasses for short or long-sightedness still runs in families
On the glasses thing, I'm in total support. I have a friend who was using eye glasses from secondary school. Till now, he still wears it. Guess what? His first son's lenses are thicker than his. But on this blindness thing, I feel so sad reading the piece. Ha, all I can say that, God in His infinite mercy gives her the support needed to carry on. Since she said the situation has improved, it means there's still hope for the boy to see more clearly. Our God does wonders.

Even after being so closed to God yet the child still remain blind same as the husband. God's mercy is questionable if you ask me.

Your analogy doesn't fit because

1. Skateboarding is an enjoyable activity. Blindness has no joy attached to it.

2. My father is a fallible man. God is a perfect infallible being.
