This is the situation. The govt has introduced a new resident card for Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians. Foreigners are to pay $120 for the card. After October 31, anyone without the card will be unable to access banking services. Registration is ongoing. This is what the true situation is. Visit www.fims.org.gh. It is all there. |

every productive Nigerians should be able to afford 120 dollar as a residential permit fee. if you can't afford that, then you are a liability to Ghana economy. Ghana is actually not for you. pls Nigerians don't take the news as rummor. the current govement there is very nationalistic. they have done it before, they can still do it now. |

Where is that useless guy that said Ghanaians won’t feel the impact of massive capital withdrawal by Nigerians living in Ghana? Ordinary partial border closure, people have started crying in Kumasi |

Please spread this message and save our brothers from loosing their had earned money. The frustration will be too much.. And those who are doing business should run fast and register their business else they will luck there shop.. If you are a good Nigerian pls be your brothers keeper by spreading this information until it gets to all Nigerians living in Ghana.. Because another face of Wahala is coming to Nigerians in Ghana.. Be wise n get your documents to avoid this storm sweeping away all you have laboured for years in one day.. psychologygh:Mr man, you are a noisemaker. I have business interests in Ghana too and go there frequently. The number 1 foreign entity in Ghana are the Chinese. Nigerians are like number 4 on the list. Who owns the biggest block industries? Is it not the Lebanese? You can rant all you want at those who have never been to Ghana. Those of us who have been there severally know the true situation. The only advantage Ghana has over Nigeria is the power situation. Ghana's infrastructure is decaying under your current president. Fuel being sold at 5.3 - 5.4 Ghc per litre (nearly N400 per litre). You guys are already paying 17.5% VAT. Communication tax of 70 pesewas for every 10 Ghc Tigo/Glo/MTN credit. Now the Ghana parliament is debating a comprehensive sexual education bill to start teaching kids about LGBT lifestyles and this is causing outrage. There is general discontent in the country with the state of the economy. Ghana is borrowing massive amounts of money. There are issues with the pensions system and the health insurance. Nigerians are not the problems of Ghanaians. Your politicians are. Deal with your issues first. |

stagger:shut up and stop involving yourself into our politics .Its not your concern and who told you Chinese and Lebanese are controlling our businesses. That's a lie and what is your issue when we pay 5 cedis for petrol. We're not complaining. At least we don't have subsidies on our petrol buh we rather subsidize our schools and educational institutions to make them 100% free and to make our tertiary institutions very affordable. We rather subsidize our farmers and agriculture to provide free fertilizer, seeds, easy loans, access to modern farm equipment, etc to make our farmers multiply their harvests and to even export their produce. We subsidize our health care system to make it free for all through our national health insurance scheme. We build a central market in Kumasi for 300 million dollars which is the largest open market in West Africa. Our roads, electricity, water, security, peace are all assured and now our economy is the fastest growing economy in Africa of 8.5% growth. Inflation rate is now in its lowest form in 24 years to 7.6% and unemployment is now less than 4%.We have the lowest poverty rate in West Africa. 2 billion dollars was arranged in the budget to build roads nationwide. That's what is called vision, progress and a nation not your zoo.And the CST has been dropped for your information. We just don't want Nigerians here, simple. |

psychologygh:It is impossible that you won't have Nigerians in Ghana, that's impossible and there's nothing anyone, not even your Ghana government can do about it, Nigeria has come to stay and dominate the whole of ecowas, live with it or die without it. |

psychologygh:All what you have said here are lies. I don't want to have to start uploading pics of some of your roads here. It will cause you immense disgrace. Also, name one Nigerian bank that was shut down. Here, our CBN had enough liquidity to bail the failing banks out clean. Over there, your govt allowed those banks (which are Ghanaian) to fail. And for your information, Nigerians will remain there for as long as possible. If you don't like it, bury yourself. I was in Shoprite in the Accra Mall sometime ago and I made purchases there in thousands of cedis at a go. Next thing, I was being hounded by some of the sales girls there asking me "are you a Nigerian?" They know we have money to spend hence the hate from the hapless males. That's why a Naija guy can easily hold down a babe anywhere in Africa. Can your male folk do same if put side by side with a Naija guy? That is the impact we pull all over Africa. Nothing anyone can do about it. |

psychologygh:Nigeria has 6 times the population of Ghana and 5 times the economy. Don't be a Pakistan. Shutting Nigeria out is a bad move when Ghana can offer agricultural exports, cocoa and other such products to Nigeria alongside tourism and a more stable environment in which to invest and do business. Being friends with Nigeria will benefit Ghana a lot more in terms of economy and growth than will being Nigeria's enemy. |

stagger:look at your rebuttal. very irrational. Nigeria owned bank like energy bank( fully owned by Jimoh Ibrahim was fully shot down) first bank was forced to call his parent bank for back up. the recapitalization is 400 million cedis . zenith and GTB bank are the only banks who meet up the requirement at a start. Access got delay and was listed on Ghana stock exchange. making it a partially Ghanaian owned bank. when it comes to infrastructure, you only need to check statistics. Ghana is well connected either thru roads, communication, digitization etc in west africa follow closely by cote devoire and Nigeria respectively( there is still more room for improvement). it good you spend money to Ghana economy, the market was organised well enough for you to contribute just like how the system was very attractive for Nigeria to contribute a billion dollar to the country economy via education tourism. |

Fallenhunter:Ghana is not shutting down Nigeria buisness. their relationship is way back before the independence. chrsgyei is just been nationalistic. he understand the importance of Nigeria economy to Ghanian economy. even relationship with togo can never be undermined. no Ghanaian will allow his country to be insulted when she can also brag about other achievement. Ghana is full supporter of pan African movement starting way back from kwame inkrumah. |

Nigeria has 6 times the population of Ghana so what? What is their purchasing power? More than 120 million Nigerians survive on less than $2 a day by the way, Ghana’s exports to Nigeria are not even up to $100 million. So what is all the fuzz about? Fuckeduppedness ![]() Fallenhunter: |
| Re: Ghanaian High Comission Deny News Of Confisticating Nigerians' Money by Fallenhunter: 9:58pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
PetroDola:Nigeria's Gdp per capita is slightly below Ghana's but you're discounting the large population which means a larger market and spending power. Ghana's exports to Nigeria not even being up to 100 million is Ghana's fault. Every country needs to work to improve it's own exports and a massive country so close to Ghana should be it's first target and port of call. |

RTSC:your own banks are the ones trading in Nigeria any bank trading in Ghana is a Ghanaian bank The central bank can basically choose to close anyone that it wants to close down and all the monies are with the central bank. |

Oh please. GDP GDP GDP look Ghana is doing very fine at the moment. The economy is growing sweetly at 8% while the Nigerian economy is struggling at less than 2% growth. Your population is growing faste4 than your economy and that spells trouble. There are even fears your country may slide into recession again in 2020. So you are not making one bit of sense. I was outraged to hear that Nigeria currently exports unhindered to Ghana, while it has closed its borders to Ghana imports. What kind of foolishness is that? You export to another jurisdiction and won’t allow imports from that jurisdiction. Does that make sense to you? Fallenhunter: |
| Re: Ghanaian High Comission Deny News Of Confisticating Nigerians' Money by Fallenhunter: 10:09pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
PetroDola:Countries with a smaller GDP will grow at a faster rate than ones with a larger GDP as those countries industrialize and open new businesses. It's why in all developed countries the GDP grows at 1-2% while in many African countries it grows at 8% and above. When war ends in a country their gdp even grows at 50% and above as business activity resumes. You're right that population growing faster than GDP is bad. Nigeria's need to stop having so many kids, especially when the parents can't even look after them which is especially common in the North. Nigeria has closed it's borders to Benin and Niger to stop smuggling and Ghana's exports are being held up because they come through there. The govts of both countries are working to resolve it. Of course it isn't fair and if it continues I fully expect Ghana will ban Nigerian products in retaliation. |
| Re: Ghanaian High Comission Deny News Of Confisticating Nigerians' Money by PetroDola: 10:17pm On Oct 17, 2019 |
Oh please. Stop that crap. Countries with a smaller GDP grow at a faster rate, huh? Where did you get that MUMU mentality from? I guess China’s GDP is small that is why is has grown at more than 6% for many years, huh? Abeg, come back with another reason yes, if the current trend continues, Ghaba will have to ban nigerian goods and services from entering Ghana. If I were the president of Ghana, I would have taken that action long ago. Fallenhunter: |
