Cutemarvel:

Mama aveeno soap worked for us but the cream, I don't think it's ok for Nigerian weather. The cream is too thick and makes them sweat easily.

We used the cream ourself and used coconut oil as cream

Thank you mama

Mothers in the house, I greet o.

Pls join me thank God as hubby and I welcomed our son almost two weeks ago now. First issue and his conception was a miracle.

Pls mamas, I'm worried about the tear I received, being a first time mum and being that my baby was too big 4kg I received a tear down to my anus, ..in fact I received both vagina tear and the tear down to my anus .

Which brings me to my worries, its been almost two weeks and the tear/skin down to my anus has not started gluing back together. I'm healing and feeling less pain, .and the stitches have almost completely come off but that line down to my anus is still very much open.

Has anyone had this type of tear before? ..when can I expect it to glue back together? Does it ever glue back together? I'm just scared!

Pls oooo anyone?

Thank you all for the help.
A wonderful mom here linked us to an NGO that caters for such cases and her surgery will be free with them.
She will still need some money for post surgery care but we have stopped accepting donations.
If any donor wishes to withdraw her donations, please send me a message.
Thank you all and may we never lack.

Mamatwiny, I am interested in that wonder drug. Please can you ask your pharmacist friend if a diabetic of about 65years can use it too,to get the same result as the cancer patient ? I wouldn't mind having his contact details too.

I'm not a medical practitioner but it is better to go to the hospital to run test. This kind of symptoms is mostly caused by infection or malaria. It's safer and better to run a test to know what you are treating him for instead of self medication.

For the blocked nose I usually steam with warm water for proper breathing. I use warm water on the chest and nose. It's gives them temporary relief.

Please, visit the hospital or health centre this morning you're giving him discomfort.

After all these, have you seen a doctor to run tests? This is probably an infection, stop all the medication

Just negodu what the both of you are doing ontop a child less than 2 yrs old..
The total amt spent so far wouldnt even be spent at a health centre.

Pls,Take your child to see a doc.We are mothers here and give advice based on experiences.
If it exceeds 3 days, you are adviced to see a doctor.

Congratulations mama,
I had this kind of tear too. Please continue with your sitzbath, it will eventually "glue" back. And please sit on a kitchen stool, it will be painful, but it also helps a lot.
Please, take care of yourself and baby.

Someone shared what she used to aid supply though I have not tried it out cos am not breastfeeding at the moment. Maybe it might work for you. Get beans and grind to powder form. Then you get washed bitter leaf and boil it. Mix the beans powder with cold water and pour the boiled bitter leaf water in the beans mixture and stir. Add honey and take. You make it just the way you make pap. Hope dis helps.
I will try that, thanks so much .

Other mamas will still add to this.......make sure baby is properly covered up, let the room be warm and not cold, keep all fans off, bath baby with warm water, use metholatum to rub baby's chest, ribs and forehead. For the silverbird, put a little drop on her pillow and sleeping area pls don't let it touch baby's skin. you both will be alright.

Iya Beji, it has been said here severally that skineal isn't good for baby's skin. Just use the Shea butter alone, coconut oil alone or mix both but pls, no skineal. kisses to the twins.
