Though falz might sound comical with his style of rap but he still remains the best rapper in naija(argue with your keyboard).

Falz is very good lyrically and also very creative with the way he put words together...little wonder why he is now the most surge for Rapper in the game.

His raps flows are top notch but comical and that is why people find his rap interesting.

I will say he deserves those awards and truly he really did

I swear down I was about to say the same thing. The guy is very good. When he gets featured with other artistes, he outshines them all with lyrical content and lyrical progression, what this implies is that you can visualize his lyrics and play it out like a movie in your head.
Let’s take these few songs as a case study (though I can’t remember their names lol)

1. The song where a DJ featured Ycee and Falz
2. The song where Ice prince featured Phyno and Falz
3. The only where Olamide, Falz and Timaya were on the same song.

Take a listen to them and be the judge but In my opinion, Falz’s verse slayed them all, but I stand to be corrected.

I wish other artistes were as lyrical tho, maybe Nigeria would have stood a chance to be great again. For a country whose rap music followership is very low,..... People go for pangolone rap songs which is what Falz do anyway,....... Olamide is too Yoruba, Phyno is too Igbotic lyrically. MI and Vector only just woke up to Diss themselves. So Falz takes the day, apart from the fact that most of his songs address our social problems

AQ, Show Dem Camp and Ladipoe aren't mainstream enough. I hope they rise high at some point in time. They'll sure improve the rap category.

Thank you o. They don't know... Falz only has a edge over others just because of his lyrics, he raps about what happens in the country, so conscious. Not because of his rap skills! A lot of rappers have more skills than him.

a real lyricist sounds like genius philosopher and who is tactful with hidden meaningful mature coded words like 2pac..Fals passes his :message in a comical way with simple lyrics..So he's not a lyricist with deep coded bars,punchline(few words embedded with nomerous meaning)..

You shouldn't see it like that. How he choose to deliver his lyrics is his choice, that is what makes an artiste versatile and unpredictable. I'm not Falz's fan, in fact I feel he hits too hard on everyone with his lyrics most times but I understand that is what Nigeria needs at these crucial hard times, if other artistes could emulate that, they might be noticed too. He's doing a great job on his lyrics but I'm very sure a lot of rappers are more skillful than him in other aspects of rap.

Exactly, you are right. I hope they continue to keep it real. Success/Money would come if they continue to do what they know how to do. There is nothing bad in trying to be commercial sometimes tho but they shouldn't lose their original art&craft in the process.
