I graduated before I left naija,what is the essence of education if you can't think, take a look at those guys selling at trade fair, alaba market and other similar markets too, those guys use their thinking faculty but a graduate believes the society owes him or her for being a graduate, but no, no one owes you, start small and apply your education in any little thing you venture into.

I had this in mind, as a mechanical engineer. I will learn faster and start an auto shop employ mechanics but I think IT (programming) that's what is trendy now.

When can one learn in 6 months, I mean the diagnostic not the technician part.

In abroad people with vocational training get job placement and incentives.

Don't mind those typing without thinking especially the under age & those still getting stipend from their parents. Because they have a family that can always assist them. They think it should be so for all. There are some families that can't raise 1m even if you give them 1 whole year. There are currently 3 main set of people in Niaja.
* Those just existing
* Those that are just trying to survive
* And those that are living.
The percentages are 70%, 25% and 5% respectively. And that is what people still call a country & are still hopeful even when more people are joining the first group.

Chai Abuja! I remember when i lost my job, became a laughing stock, couldn't pay rent & slept on floors of drinking bars at night to quickly get up every morning to bathe and brush. The pains in my ribs due to the hard ground.. Later i became a wanderer because the bar wouldn't have me anymore.. I slept out in the cold rain of Abj at some point. But na me dey lekki now comfortably in a nice apartment that i pay the bills. Though I'm not where i want to be yet but things are looking up.. Op i can't say you're lazy but somtimes things will refuse to work out. Don't rush into anything. Let me tell u if ur mind is not at rest where ur squatting go home or u will just be wasting time jumping from one odd job to another & before u know time done go. 31 is still young. If u are okay with the guys u squat with then no problem. Just pick one of the job offers ur getting no matter how small the pay & be focused on getting better

Most importantly be prayerful don't underrate this.. its very different from being a church boy and don't listen to the voice in ur head that says u can't do it with ur everyday sins. Just be doing it.... Suicide is never an option bro

I also read Microbiology and was wondering wtf to do with the certificate after graduation. Now I can tell you that what some organisations need is just your B.Sc or equivalent. The course studied can be immaterial.

So, if an organization needs a medical doctor, you'll present your BSc microbiology and be employed huh

I pity you, guy na wen I DE 17, I saw how hard working my late Dad was and the effort he put towards paying my school fees in a private school, one day, I called my late Dad and told him not to worry about my fees again, na so I enter site, during holidays I usually make good money enough to pay my fees, trust our parents, he did not stop giving me the fees in bits some time I won't collect. immediately after secondary school na so I enter street, hustle and saw my self through higher institution, got a corporate job but was not pleased with the job, once a street boy is always a street boy, na street sure pass, office or corporate work may not give you the joy you so desire. Let me advise you, look for a Micro Finance bank, eg, if you are in Lagos, trace Albarka Micro Finance open an account with them, get a guarantor, gogo them they will give you a Keke Marwa at N900k or so to be paid instalment within a year, most of those guys driving Keke makes time 3 of some bankers salary in a month. Tryvthis, you will come back thanking me later. Your coment of being depressed of not knowing what to do because you don't have a job is the most daft thing I have ever heard since, it shows that you are not creative and you claimed you are a graduate and finished service 2014. If at all school passed through you and not you passing through school, you would have reason out of the box.

Don't lose hope, whatever offer you get here, start from there. Sometimes I take underpaid job as a therapy for preparing myself for bigger things. Searching for work is a huge task, it's easier when you earn little, your interviews and applications are better when you have a little, to at least eat before attending.

Bruh I feel your pain. I was were you are 3 years ago. Jobs were not coming, small business I tried to start up failed, I mean I had nobody to fall to and for some strange reasons everyone I know was looking up to me. Then that was when I decided that enough is enough. I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees. Long story short, the streets saved my life. By God’s Grace I have 2 businesses I manage, I also make money from amazon writing books and advertising for clickbank. All I’m trying to ask is have you really explored all your options?
