thedio: You mean you give out once a year? But you take from people once a year? It is what I have seen very well, they write on the wall in the mosque. If people give out once a year, how are the mosques managed? With 1/40 from interested people? I have seen some of them reconstructing damaged bridges, where do they get resources and money?1/40? Even at Prayer grounds on festivals, they collect money. Most of their Imams are full time clerics, who pay them money to manage their families throughout the year? 1/40? No wonder Baba Suwe went to a Church when he needed treatment, he was given N10m. What if all the donors in that Church refused to pay tithes too, he should have been a past tense. 1 Like |

Two Economies There are basically two economies in the world and every nation on the face of the earth fall under either of them. These are: * The Knowledge Economy * The Religion Economy The rich and prosperous nations of the world belong to the Knowledge Economy while the the poorest and poverty stricken nations of the world belong to the Religion Economy. The Knowledge Economy is one that engages the brain, asks relevant questions, and proffer solutions to problems. The Religion Economy is one that blackmails God and dumps every responsibilities on Him. The Knowledge Economy tasks the brain, the Religion Economy numbs the brain. Japan, for example, is a Knowledge Economy. It has no natural resources but it is a prosperous nation, one of the richest on the planet. At least six of every ten cars on Nigeria's roads today are Japanese cars. Japan is not a religious country, but it is one of the most corruption-free nations. China is not a religious country, but nations that ignore China today do so to their own peril. Nigeria falls under Religion Economy, everything depends on God. Nigeria is one of the most endowed nations with natural resources on the face of the earth, yet also among the poorest. Nigeria wears proudly the badge of the "poverty capital of the world" and is one of the most corrupt nations on the face of the earth. It is also one of the most religious countries on the planet. It is a nation where everything depends on God, and God watches in disgust as we mortgage our brains. Even security agencies that are constitutionally funded from budgets look up to God to carry out their duties. But here is the irony. The two major religions of the world, Christianity and Islam, emanated from Israel and Saudi Arabia respectively. But none of those two nations fall under Religion Economy. None! One of the evidences of their subscription to Knowledge Economy is the yearly pilgrimages that generate for them revenues in billions of dollars. But hypocritically stupid nations like Nigeria are comfortable disseminating nuisance to humanity with their glamorization of the Religion Economy. People elected and empowered to do a job will turn around and ask those who elected them to pray. God is disgusted with Religion Economy. There's a reason He gave man brain and instructed him to subdue the earth. If you're a Christian who does not commit yourself to the pursuit of knowledge your life will become a perfect reflection of Nigeria. That's a fact! It is an illusion to anticipate wisdom where people do not pay attention to Knowledge. *Mark this today 19th October 2019 and watch it going forward*. Faith without work is DEAD. 7 Likes 1 Share |

thedio: They make contributions monthly and tithes are given monthly, what's the difference? They save and pay the money once a year, what's the difference too? There's no where tithes is paid at gunpoint, you give if you have too even offering is optional at Winners Chapel, you can ask someone to confirm if you are a Muslim. Buses are paid to take people who claim they can't come to church for any reason to church to and fro, people donate voluntarily to that and that doesn't make them poor. Monthly packages are given out to the less privileged monthly, people donate towards that too. What if everyone doesn't want to give. Why do you not want to comment on Baba Suwe? Why did the Muslims not help him from their yearly zakat? 1 Like |

HigherEd:And what happen at the end, the bible stated that after the affliction of Job, that his later days is better than his beginning. Did he then tithe. So he quoted out of context because God allowed devil to test Job in order to test his faith and stand with God without the riches. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Bishop Oyedepo Acquires New Helicopter Worth N2.5 Billion by okenze007: 5:46pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
The calamity that befell Job in the bible is not as a result of tithing, but a test of his faith and his stand with God without his riches. To say that Job lost all his riches because he did not tithe is an illusion which can not stand because the the person that said it is quoting the bible out of context. If it is because of not tithing that he lost all his children and wealth, did he tithe at the end when the bible stated that the later days of Job is better than his beginning, meaning that all he lost, he got back double fold. Please read your bibles and advice your so called teachers to teach kingdom's massage that will bring salvation to the people and not prosperity and quick syndrome to wealth |

Neroiam: Job had one of the most oustanding profiles of men in scripture. Job 1: 1 said clearly that he was perfect (blameless) and straight which is as far as anyone could get with God outside of grace. Blameless means there was no point you could fault his life because he made all necessary intercession ( sacrifice for sin) and met all requirements of God. But understand that Jobs problem was that he was blameless which Satan had to challenge to prove that no one really loved God for nothing (selflessly). Book of Job was written to help believers expect testings from Satan as they live to prove their selfless love and devotion to God and how God would eventually reward them if they hold out through the tests. James 5: 10-11. Also, the whole book of 1Peter was written just to encourage believers to endure through suffering and not to be surprised by it. 1 Pet 4:1,12-13 1 Like |

Ijawwomaninoyo: If you think what Winners give back to society (not members of their church) is up to 5% of their purse, then I really don't have much to write back to you. In your word "built an estate" in maybe Lagos or Ogun. I'm not even talking to his church in particular, I'm talking about all churches in Nigeria. They don't contribute as much to the society as they should. Most of their members kids in towns and villages don't even go to school, they hawk about |

Finallydead: I read the Bible for myself hence i can back my claims with scriptures. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I understand what i read. It was the fear of job that caused him to be tempted. The devil feeds on fear. Job 3:25 Once a blameless man isn't always a blameless man. |

Neroiam: Sorry, the first part of that post was directed at someone else, i should have edited it out. pls read my modified post. By the way the reason Job suffered was revealed in Job 1 and 2 in the conversation b/w God and Satan. Its not fear as you presume. Satan will test all who live righteously just because they live so whether they're full of faith or not. (2tim 3: 10-12, 2Cor4: 7-9) 1 Like |

Ijawwomaninoyo:the difference is clear. Tithe is 10%of ur monthly income. If u r earning 10k u pay 1k but in Islam if u r earning 100k u r not qualify to pay cos ur annual savings is 1.2m that is, if u don't eat,pay bills or transport.my brother enjoy ur money in peace.Besides nobody save to pay zakat even if u do and it's less than 1m u r not qualify to pay .on the issue of names u see on the wall.it is not the name of everybody that worship in that mosque, mostly it is the names of the landlords in that community who r willing to contribute to d development of the mosque and if u find out they contributed to build that mosque.mind u it is done for accountability and not to shame anybody. Again let's not discuss baba suwe issue zakat is for Muslims and ur name alone does not make u a Muslim. Zakat is not saved in any account and no specific time to pay it thou many pple prefer Ramadan period and it is given to the less privileged who r Muslims. A friend of mine who is earning above 100k was given 100k last year by one rich man as part of his zakat. So it's not compulsory that u give it to imam |

HigherEd:In as much as I respect Dr David Oyedepo, there is nothing correct in that statement... The devil was so powerless to attack Job and all that he had until God removed the hedge He built around him.In Job 1 vs 8.... Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." it was God that said Have you considered my servant Job?...So hear Satan's response here..."Does Job fear God for nothing, Satan replied....Job 1 vs 9....Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face." so look at God's response.... The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger." Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. You see, if you dont know how to rightly divide the word of truth, you will believe all that men of God say just because they attract a large following... it has nothing to do with whether Job was paying tithes or not....If you are a correct child of God, there is an hedge built around you....What Job underwent was just a test or trial just prove him, it could only come after God removed the hedge..... God bless you 1 Like 1 Share |
