Banning /closing of the border for certain products can actually help stimulate the Nigerian economy but the government needed to have put certain infrastructures in place first .
But I guess at times certain actions needed to be drastically taken for it to work .

Government I heard banned milk importation and it's actually gonna have a positive effect cos many producers of diary are forced to setup diary farms in the country and also process and package it in the country.This is my first hand experience of the effect on the ban of milk I am having as the company were I work is about to start packaging milk for one of the multinationals
