There is an incantations about the great ladies of the sea in a particular time of the night that I would recite in a shore of a beach or river and you will see an intense light with a rumbling in the surface of the water... It would force out a mermaid to come to you physically... I'm not a good story narrator believe what ever you could for all I care

Are they pretty in their real form or horrible? I read somewhere that they exist but aren't close to any thing portrayed on the TV coz they ugly
