Car Won't Reverse When Engaged by Uwap(op): 2:54am On Oct 25, 2019

Please I need help
I drive a corolla 2009, the would not go in reverse when I engage it. But drive well when in Drive D.
I checked the transmission oil, there was a little shortage and I topped it yet same problem lingered.
Please I need advice on possible cause and solution so as to be informed when engaging the technician.
Information like what he possibly need to look out for.

Maybe the gear filter is dirty. Have your Kazeem open the gear and wash the filter

Lol, before I opened the thread I knew it'll be a Toyota corolla. Its one of the funniest car issues I ever had to manage.

I think mine happened when I forded some deep water. First it showed very limp proplusion when put in reverse until it didn't move at all. Long story short, I had to replace transmission.

What oil did you use?

Diagnose vehicle.

Check ECT, or TCM code.

If no fault code, do a transmission flush, and change strainer (filter)
