GEJ contracted Enugu, Kano, PHC, Lagos and Abuja to the Chinese for remodelling, and they had already well and truly taken off [some to advance stage] before there was a change of administration. That is why they all have basically same design.

The one in Abuja is even more standard, it has an intracity rail connection. Lagos needs, as a matter of utmost priority, to get its intracity rail on track. It is taking decades!

Wake up! I am not giving kudos to anybody, PMB or GEJ, they [and their immediate family] were fucking paid to use our funds to do this!

But as they are commissioning the new airport terminal, they should decommission all the police, immigration, customs bribe collectors at every 5 metres walk who don't mind you missing your flight if you don't "settle" them.
And also all the jobless people that have no business being there but have successfully turned Lagos airport into a marketplace.

It’s very annoying that people from abroad heading to Lagos have to fly to Abuja first just to avoid all the harassments that come with using MMIA.
no body flies to Abuja FIRST when heading to Lagos. secondly, the men in abuja are equally corrupt!

International airport pass international airport brother. Lagos airport plays host to over 20 different international aircrafts which take off and land daily. They make huge sum in revenue to the government whereas, aminu kano only lifts hajj pilgrims yearly

also, the fact that Lagos hosts more, but Abuja is given more priority is not a good thing

The Federal Government on Wednesday in Abuja pledged to ensure the delivery of a new international airport in Lagos before Easter celebration next year.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, stated this in an interview with journalists at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the State House.

The minister also said the necessity to construct a new airport in Lagos had become compelling, bearing in mind that when the airport was first commissioned in 1980, it was meant to serve only 200,000 people.

However, he said the number of passengers using the airport has risen from 200,000 in 1980 to 8 million people today with a number of infrastructures there already collapsed.

He also explained that the plan for the overhaul of the Lagos airport is in two phases, noting that after the delivery of the new airport, the old one will be redesigned and reconstructed in acknowledgement of the growing population of Lagos as well as the attraction that Lagos continues to generate.
