Have you read the CBN Act? No. You're relying on hearsay and incorrect information. Have you ever heard of delegated legislation?

Read the CBN Act as well as the BOFIA Act. They provide clarity as to the functions and powers of the CBN.
Read sections 30 and 33 of the CBN Act.
They can make regulations and ascribe criminal liability to defaulters.

There’s no need continuing with this argument. At this point you have to believe whatever you choose to believe while I do mine. It’s very obvious you don’t want to learn. Gracias

New CBN Directive to bar individual and locals from buying T-bills in OMO primary and secondary markets.

Is this the end?

analyst lets discus the reason why CBN decided to make such move

Back to Tbills discussion. Now that CBN has started blocking some people from investing in our precious Tbill. Should we hope for better days ahead?

You haven't answered the questions.

Is the Anchor borrowers program a grant or a loan?
Do the regulations which govern the program penalise diversion or not?
The contract you sign before accessing the funds, does it state the purpose and conditions of grant or not?

It can and will cut across both sir and here is what I mean
If the farmer enjoys being mentored by some official to get to the destined purpose, that can’t be repaid if the farmer however collected funds to be repaid, then that is a loan
Please note I am not familiar with the scheme but only responding based on what I read about it
However, how many real grassroots have benefited from the scheme or any scheme in Nigeria?

i think CBN should have ban banks only and make individual to participate in TB because they are the one with real money at hand and in banks. thats the way. If CBN is scared that banks are not lending to real sector, it is because the banks are using there funds to buy TB. this is complete ill advised i swear

All these letters CBN is pouring in everyday is just a sign that they fear people will still look for loopholes- further stating that they are really handicapped when it comes to the issue of legalizing these policies.

Let try to make our point clear ,not argue to win like kids but to impact clear knowledge and understanding ...am with team a that it a crime to divert grant meant for agric or mortgage to buy t.b.

This is the reason I was stressing it here to someone that one needs to diversify, otherwise policy will just come one day and end your projections.

Cbn has reasons for grant monies at 5 percent in agric this funds are not meant to be diverted to bond or t.b, money for bond auction come from fdi, pension funds and private persons ,they serve different purpose .a to spur up agricultural development ..b to stabilize the financial systems example inflation and monetary controls ...diverting agric grants (cbn money ) then re lending back to cbn in tb or bond is a scam and criminal and economic sabotage (but it cbn that have poor oversight or check and balance ....if agric was gives a return of 50 percent and 90 percent guarantee no famer or intending farmer will divert the loan to t.b 12.5

I tot we have forgotten about this issue? Oh I see, some are just waking up.
Ahiboilandgas we have gone way pass this point. Leave this issue, if you think it’s a crime just relax CBN will prosecute offenders. Shikenna. Can we rest now?
All we should be discussing is this new letters CBN is dishing up and down because that’s the essence of this platform. If we are stopped from investing then I don’t see a reason for this platform- This should be the mean concern on this platform. Or his anybody here a debtor as regards the agric loans?

Not that I am rich ooh.....but the reason why we end up in mediocrity is because we spend too much time doing illegal and fraudulent things that will never last.

Shebi CBN has stopped it. How much did they now make.....if the cbn decides to prosecute them.

Again, It is not illegitimate. What I’m saying is cbn and govt should stop creating these weak systems without any checks and balances where people could easily profit off because you can’t stop people from profiting off a weak, irregulated system. This mostly happens in Nigeria but not particular to Nigeria.
Now that cbn has blocked this one they will simply move to the next one which is buying tbills by proxy.
Most super rich people in Nigeria are 60% or more, made by government money. There’s actually less than 10% billionaires in Nigeria who made money without profiting off our weak economic policies. I’m glad cbn is making these changes but more still needs to be done.
