There is an Igbo adage "Onye na ejighi ego o na eri ofe Owerre?" (A poor man has no business eating expensive soups).

Why not go to a viewing center and pay 50 naira like others?. Must you stream online?.

See you. Beggar wey dey choose grin

Too many tribal bigots on this thread

Old members of this thread showing how rotten they are tribally.

It was an eyesore reading comments from you guys

As soon as the goals started raining in, all of you become dumb and fingerless.

The so called tribes they degraded and insulted won the game for us.

I'm so ashamed of you all.

Tribal bigots not fit to be called Nigerians.

People like you guys in a country like Nigeria are a burden that needs to be offloaded in the desert.

I'm so irritated reading you all. Now I see why the U17 team had less comments pre-today because of the names of the boys that made the team.

Shame to you all.
Lol what happened bro?

As for me i dont really watch u17 or u20 like that

Take it easy jare

Good job by the boys
I didn't watch the match but with the commentary from Goal.com which shows that Nigeria had 61% and 15 shots (7 on target) to Hungary 39% and 2 shots (which got them the goals), I think they did well on their first match

I am still not convinced tho (owing to the scoreline in the preparatory matches they played) but maybe because I am using the 2013 set as standard.

Will try and watch them subsequently to see things for myself.

Congratulations to the team and everyone. I wish them "good success".

For the guys complaining, especially Chriskels, you should know that our Underage teams start out mostly trying to find their rhythm and gel.

They usually grow into the first match and into the tournament proper.

These boys are kids and are complete rookies. But they have natural skills, technique and flair.

I can write a script about today's match.
Leave Chriskels, he is an Ivorian grin grin grin

Chai but I love the athletism and passion from those boys. They really mean Business. This is a life time Opportunity for them and they know it.

We just hope they continue to improve.

Even though I don't support the action of those who criticized the team due to tribal inclination, but, I didnt see u this vocal back in 2015 when Forgiveness was doing same on the Amunike led team. He said Amunike took bribe to field his Igbo boys from owerri(nwakali) and umuahia(chuks)

If the bulk of the team that played today maintain their places in the starting line up, this team wouldnt smell the semis

Just like at the afcon our boys had trouble dealing with the physicality of their opposition. I think football wise they will be as good as any team at this tournament

The Hungarians were really bossing our kids with size.

Even against African oppositions our U17 sides are usually small which takes us back to a question i asked Months ago. That why are a teenagers usually small?
