Lots of Prisons in the US are privately owned. They run For-Profit Prison systems and these prisons make up money through the incarceration of prisoners.

With a private prison, many of the burdens are taken off the government and put onto a private company. Instead of all the business that goes along with running a prison, the government simply has to supply the prisoners, and oversee the prison. The building, facilities and maintenance are outsourced to private bodies.

Do you now see how they fair better? - prison wise.

Again, minimum wage works in the US because it doesn’t just apply to Public Institutions or Civil Service. All Private companies in the US must pay the minimum wage to Unskilled Labour - with the exceptions of the black market labour, for those who are undocumented (and, I must say, this is illegal, so the authorities mustn’t know).

In Nigeria, even the federal and state governments are struggling to pay the minimum wage, let alone requiring the average gas stations or business centres in the street to pay 30k minimum to its Petrol and cafe attendants. Even some fresh graduates don’t earn up to 30k in their white collar jobs.

my freedom is paramount....

In my final year at the university, I was attending a business class outside my school stuff. In the class, we got to a topic called "the ideology of nations". It was a group stuff. I was in SA group. Those in Nigeria group could not find what Nigerian stands for.

We live every day and every year on chance. No plan for the next 20,50 years. our budget shows we are highly disorganized country. About 40bn was budgeted for education in 2020 budget. A sector with about 2m teachers, over 60,000 pry and sec schools and over 30 million people of school age. How many Kobo will one person get?

We need to dismantle this country and redefine her. We are moving sheepishly without any sense of direction. vision 2000 came and gone. vision 2020 is as useless as the letter p in psychology. Buhari will successfully waste people's 8 years and go. Another clueless person will come and prank the people for another 8 years.

Nigeria is a prison and we know that. the rich and influential are the ones in the up bunk.

Stop comparing how they use their dollar to how we use our naira..

My friend stayed in Nevada, USA for 3years, paid $500 per month for his room. That's 175k naira per month. Even on the highland I doubt if you would pay 175k for a single room per month.

My point is that the 2 economy are totally different. Imagine people paying as much as $3000 for 2 room in LA per month, they are require to earn better pay checks to cover this bill. Don't compare it to a country paying 12k per month for a room self contain.
