Your work experience is the issue, because it’s not up to three years. Maybe you can learn French? So you take the TEF exam to boost your scores?

Or you can wait it out in the pool in the hopes for a low draw, your score at 453 isn’t entirely horrible.

You have a healthy profile. One alternative is to taken the TEF exam (6 months to 1 year prep) worth at least 42 points. You can also apply directly to some provinces for a PNP nomination - that's if you don't directly get a nomination soon.

Good day everyone. I recently found out that someone who has worked with lecturers as a research assistant can also use it for express entry.

Please has anyone successfully done something like that? Also, what documents did you use? Can I get a reference letter from the Professor or must it be from the university?

Note that i was not paid a monthly salary. (Is a payslip compulsory?)

Thank you for your help.

Hello bros...

Abeg what French school are you going for? And what state? I want to enroll too.. Relocating to Lagos or PH or Kaduna is my problem now!
Bro, you don't have to relocate to anywhere to learn French if you want. I am using an online tutor and also preparing for TEF too. Check www.tobidam.com for more info.

Best case scenario, cut-off drops to 453 by late December or early next January. Worst case scenario, you write another IELTS by the time you get 3 years experience, i.e. if your IELTS expires by then. Between these two scenarios, there are other possibilities: write TEF, marry your bae if they have the same qualifications as you to boost your CRS score, or go for provincial nomination.

How long did it take you to prepare for it? Can you recommend a tutor?
feyfey007:
.

BCS proved very useful for me. I wrote in March and got my certificate in June. It also improved my CRS point. Since I am above the age threshold, I am still writting IELTS hoping to get the highest CLB.
My point is, try to write BCS exams. It is IT based but very easy to pass if you use a tutor since I did not have an IT background. I am a graduate of Library and Archival Studies.
If you need further advice, you can contact me or visit their website.

It's not a French school but a diploma course in French at Unilag. It is for 9 months.

How much is it, and when will it commence?

Hope registration has not closed.

Try this app "Duolingo" it's very very good for learning. You will surely be grateful for using it but you will need a tutor for the speaking.

Hmm! Sis, from what you have typed, I guess you are still pre-AOR or fresh post-AOR. If you have experienced the long tortorous wait, you won't talk like this @bold. This application is one of the most life-changing application one can ever go through, you can't move forward or backward, you can't buy new car, rent/buy new house, change house appliances to your taste, go on vacation anyhow, change kids schools as you would like, organise dream wedding, to pay children school fees will be paining you etc because you just can't touch that pof anyhow, you keep managing, more like self-induced poverty in case PPR comes anytime soon, God forbid you're robbed or financial emergency befall you in the middle of the wait. Or if you're frustrated with your current job and don't want to go through the stress of changing jobs since you'll repeat the same job search process for Canny but what do I know? The constant mental decision-based dilemma you through daily because you don't know the outcome of VO's decision or when the decision will get to you is one that can't be explained, only experienced firsthand. I hope the wait is easy on you.
And applicants have a right to express their concerns via CSE or any other means, albeit in a respectful tone. I can't start saying all the cases, but I have seen where applicants write heartfelt legitimate plea and get ghost update the next couple of days, then PPR.

kiari:

You have no right whatsoever to Express your concern to the Canadian government, they didn't force you to apply for their program in as much as they need economic immigrants, 80% of applications get ppr on or before 6 months? The other 20% get 8-14months later, so you are among the latter, did you credit their account with your pof?

you gotta roll with the punches of their process, slow or fast, they have the right to pick the best economic immigrants for their country, so before applying for their so called Express Entry knowing they may put your file in Accra, you should get you get you ducks in a row, have a plan A, B,C...don't put all your eggs in one basket because they might reject your application, so whatchu gon do? Sue them for not letting you into their country? cool shebi your pof is still in your account? So why the fuss? They will give you your ppr or not... Y'ALL STOP COMPLAINING AND GET BUSY ALREADY, URRGGH... angry

Hello house,
Any tips on how to improve on my listening please?

Ielts(1st attempt)
Listening 7.5
Reading 9
Speaking 8.5
Writing 7

Ielts(2nd attempt)
Listening 7.5
Reading 9
Speaking 9
Writing 7

I used ielts online and cambridge YouTube videos for both sittings

I used Ieltsonline as well and I aced it once. The only tip that I feel you need is concentration in listening! You can’t afford to be distracted, as it is you are good to go but I feel when you are in the exam hall, try not to think about any other thing Coz it’s unlike reading and other modules that you can go back to it. Also, the first and 2nd parts of the questions are what you need to get all the 20, also it could be your spellings, the answers should be in capital letters, and try to follow the story to know what fits well in the passage, YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO BE DISTRACTED. Lastly, practice practice practice. All the best!

In recent times, they have not stuck to their 5/6day policy.

For perspective, my husband wrote on the 12th of October, I started checking online from 17th, the email didn’t come until the 21st morning about 7am and that’s when we were able to check online.

I went to their Ikoyi office that day at 12pm and the hard copy wasn’t even ready yet until about 3pm - they had to print as I waiting because I was putting pressure.

So sadly, @PucciGuru you might have to wait, or you can try your luck by going there if you wish.

Wow that crazy
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by ladymarshall: 5:25pm On Oct 27, 2019
I couldn't find your original post on part-time work question. Are you an FSW outland applicant? If yes, part-time work during your university can be used for EE as long as it meets the stipulations on CIC website. If you worked 15 hours per week, then 2 years part time work equals to one year full time 30 hours per week work experience. So if you worked 15 hours for 4 years, that is equal to 2 years full time work. If you add it to your current one year full time experience, you can have 3 years experience.
Don't worry, you're very close to getting ITA

Use your Admin officer experience for the EE profile

Admit you were once denied a visa.

After you get ITA, ensure you mention your online company in your personal history and use the exact same dates of ownership and operation as you used for TRV so you would not be faulted for omission or misrepresentation.

If there were time overlaps for both, add an LOE that you were working as an admin officer while you owned your online company. It is believable because online jobs are flexible and can be combined with other activities. Also, because of the bad economy, many own side businesses, while working full time and even running a degree, it is normal. I had time overlaps like this and explained it that way.
Kjoy:
Hello,

So before I got married I applied for a study visa a while back and was denied. Reason was generic "I'm not sure you will leave Canada after your studies and Employment situation"( I had an online company which crashed eventually after a while).

I was also working somewhere then as an Admin Officer earning a meagre sum in cash but in my TRV application I used my online company as work experience that was before it crashed.

Now I want to create my EE profile but I'd like to claim points with the place I was working then. It will give me 3years exactly as my online business.

I don't know what to do because I'd let them know that I was denied a visa while filling the form. They'd likely go through my TRV application because it should still be the same UCI number during background check and my work experience won't match.

Please what do I do guys cos I can't disappoint my spouse. I have to make this work at least for my spouse.

Thank you for you advice.
