The Social Media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie has responded to the rejection of the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System IPPIS by the Academic Staff Union of University ASUU.

Lauretta Onochie in her statement stated that every lecturer should be committed to one University that pays their salaries per month.

She said,

A University Lecturer should be committed to one Institution that pays him monthly. He can support another university on a small scale as a consultant. Working full time in many universities at a time, is the reason they churn out graduates with no skills. There’s no commitment.

The reason ASUU is fighting the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) is that many Lecturers dash from one university to another as full time Lecturers. The IPPIS will expose those with multiple full time jobs.

Reason why sometime you only see your lectuerer a few weeks to exam period or maybe just 3 times in a semester. Many of them lecture in other institutions.

Good. Lecturers with no commitment, that was how my lecturers skipped lectures back then just because they were busy running from one institution to another to lecture. Na two weeks to exam one go come him go dey threaten us again say if we miss his class. Nonsense

I agree with the federal government on this one.

Had one lecturer like that back then, he comes from another university so the guy had to change his lecture time to Saturday afternoon 4 hours stretch.... No EPL for me that semester

Going from university to the other earning full time salary plus 'hand-out' money is height of corruption by ASUU.

FG should stop the nonsense.

my HOD at the time was doubling at another university , and we were the ones who suffered for it.

One step at a time. Nigeria will be great.

All those lecturers should leave the multiple jobs and allow graduates get employment.

Good development.. at least job opportunity will open for more people... For this country wet old people no won retire again and we dey call youth leaders of tomorrow. When the tomorrow definitely dey come Is it when the leaders of tomorrow don old Cos I yam not understanding at all

I'm just waiting for ASUU to go out strike over this issue. That is when they will see the anger of Nigerians.

Not only lecturers fall on this category, doctors, nurses, some secondary and primary school teaches are not left out.

Nigerians are the real enemies of the country, no commitment, no honesty and no sincerity.
