I hope this week draw will flush out all the 470s oooo, So 460s can fly .

It should , without PNP points 470+ is fairly hard to achieve.

Folks on canadavisa used some calculations to predict next three draws at '473-475' , '470' , 'high 460s' assuming done biweekly starting this wednesday

The bolded made me laugh grin grin grin You are such a good narrator.
I thank God for your journey, it was a roller coaster but worth it in the end! I am so excited for you and wish you all the best in Canada.

PS: That thief needs serious flogging. Thank God things got sorted out eventually.

G4lady:

I have lived outside Nigeria before but the urge to relocate was never there until I started having kids then the urge came so hard upon me. My children must be better than me and foundation is key. Hubby never wanted to relocate, he was always bothered about starting again from the scratch. I just could not understand it “No bi scratch we dey for Naija?” lol and to think that both of us had foreign Msc, I was 32 at the time and we both are qualified Accountants (ACA) although that did not add any point to us, it will be so painful to let this pass us by, what will I tell my children? So, I kept praying until God used a friend of his to convince him after much talk, he agreed in April 2018, so immediately I started our ECA with WES.

IELTS
Meanwhile I had enrolled for classes in April 2018 because that was when I had time so when the lectures ended in June I told the organizer that when am ready to write he will help me register (something I could have done on my own, I just thought since he tutored me, he could as well just help me register I didn’t see anything bad or lazy about it), fast forward to Oct 5th when hubby’s ECA came out I sent the Man 150,000 to register for us, Na so the money enter voicemail ooo. In short, no bi small thing, to cut a very long story short I was able to pick him up in January 2019 after many failed attempt of trying to catch him in his office. We locked him up and was able to retrieve 130k, the rest is history I just decided to let him go. He told me the charge was 150k but was going to register us under IDP which was 68k at the time, I later got to know this from him. During the period the guy disappeared I could not believe it because I expected better, so I just stopped reading, everything was paused.

In this regard do you know if IELTS MOD/IDP at Meadow hall lekki will be speaker or headset for speaking

PLSHELEP:
I don't think they are more difficult, if you ask me I would say they are the same.

However, during the real test, you have people around you and could be easily distracted. There's also the complexity of whether you're listening from a speaker or headset.

Hi guy,

The company I'm claiming points with is not that big and no online presence whatsoever and I don't work there anymore (I won't have any problem getting a reference letter though).

How will CIC verify my work experience without any form of online presence?

Thanks for your kind response.

terrymason:

Sanmiosanmi please who gave you the 450k price?
That price is not true, I chatted with them and the fee is 215k (exam, membership, and registration).

Compunet Nigeria located in plateau state but the exam is written in lagos.

Please anyone that has done the BCS exam can drop more details on registration and were to write the exams.

Attach is our chat, kindly note that I got their details through bcs approve registered center.
I wrote the exam in September. The exam itself costs £120 and a student membership of £20 for one year or £30 pounds for four years. I opted for the latter ( a personal decision).

Tutorial centre: BCS has only one registered centre at the moment which is Compunet whose head office is in Jos. But after Compunet saw the increase in the number of folks writing the exam (I mean the exam went from less than 20 or 30 people writing it in March this year to almost 300 writing this year), they now have an office in Lagos, Allen avenue to be precise. Compunet will charge 150k for tutorials alone and I hey also add money to the exam fee should you want them to register for you, so I would advice you register yourself. It’s not hard.

Exam venue: Lagos, Abuja and I think Kano is a centre for BCS so centers are made available at no cost in those states. For others, you may have to pay a fee for non standard venue if you want them to bring the exam there for you. We wrote ours at Yaba tech in Lagos. Used to be at British council but the number of candidates is now more than what BC centers can take I suppose.

Syllabus: There is a new syllabus for BCS certificate in IT, the new syllabus takes effect from March next year.

Results: This takes 3 months to be out. Tiring!

My mistakes and regrets: Because we weren’t IT oriented, we approached New horizon Surulere who used to be the second approved center for BCS in Nigeria to assist us and we were charged 50k, I later learnt some ( those who went directly to make enquiries) were charged more (some were charged 80k, some 100k, I still get angry every time I recollect this as that wasn’t the agreement as I see that as theft) as we got more people interested and we were divided into batches. Well our money was a waste ad those guys only saw as money making machine. Their tutors were clueless, they brought some of their “good” students to come tutors, none of their seasoned tutors came to any of the classes, well to be fair after changing for them once, We saw their best tutors in class one Saturday and they never came again. We practically taught ourselves as we had some people amongst us in my batch who were IT oriented. So what’s the koko of my story? [b] avoid New Horizon Surulere or any of its centers for BCS tutorials[b/]. Am I saying New Horizon is bad IT school? No! But NH isn’t the ideal tutorial center for BCS exams as they are no longer an approved center and they don’t have the resources to take the courses.

Exam: This year’s exam wasn’t actually a walk in the park especially for those of us with non IT background and the fact that the questions this year took a different than what has been in the past questions ( we used the PQs to study mostly and we did this solely because the questions were always around their previous questions) but the exam took a different dimension this year, we will were shocked cheesy I especially was shook cheesy as I realised from the exam hall that I don go carry something wey pass me cheesy. The more reason I would beg people to avoid my mistake by enrolling with New Horizon as I observed Compunet students had it easy with the exam.

I wouldn’t advice anyone without IT background to self study or rely on tutorials from WhatsApp or telegram platform. My advice DO NOT RELY ON THAT. Only self study if you are IT oriented and you are fully convinced you can do it.

wwwdotBCSdotorg is where to start on your BCS journey. Sorry for my story oooo, it’s just for you not to go and pay extra on an exam that isn’t expensive.

I had to type this long story to educate people. Should I keep quiet, posterity will judge. Hence the reason for my epistle.

I can see there are a lot of centers springing up to cash out from our situation. The journey to two or more certificates. Especially BCS, Be wise!

Don't think it's fairly hard though. Maxed out IELTS, Master's degree and 5-year work experience gave 470 at age 31. Imagine folks who are in their 20s and have siblings in Canada with similar profiles. Their CRS scores will be higher than 485. Those are the people responsible for the astronomical increase in CRS scores and to be honest, it's not reducing any time soon in my opinion. One shoud just do whatever he can to remedy the situation. All will be well with us all eventually.

I dont think this is a problem. As long as you are truthful. Your former bosses may be called and if all is verified in one way or the other. You are good. All the best.

How do you know which is better when you wrote only once with only IDP.

Ask us that wrote 5 times and we would tell you which is better. What pass rate? Where did you see the statistic?

Please how did u request for a remark?

It’s not a problem. In fact, IRCC encourages getting a higher degree as a strategy for increasing your CRS points and they don’t expect you to resign your job while getting the higher degree.

Please go the CIMA route, you'll find it easier. When I thought I had only 2 options; CIMA and BCS, one look each at both questions had me running to CIMA and I studied a science course at uni.

That BCS of a thing is not something you can read on your own without a background in IT, unlike the CIMA that is pretty much understandable. Plus not only do the results come out much faster than BCS, you also see your score immediately after the exam. That way you'll know whether to jubilate or immediately schedule another one.

Please i have been having issues with my WES, first my School sent verification and WES insisted that they did not see it. I had to pay for hard copy to be sent through DHL. On the 18th of this month, my status changed to 'in progress' reviewing documents, the date keeps changing everyday day with the same status but different dates and I have not gotten possible completion date yet. I am getting confused and scared, please what could be wrong.
Same thing happened to me. Sent countless messages to WES but they always sent back generic responses. I advice you calm down. With time your account will show what and what has been accepted.
