You are very correct. They are not Yoruba.

The Ijebu they speak is an Igbo language mixed with French and Portuguese. It is just coincidental that Ijebu dialect and Ondo dialect are almost similar.

In fact Ijebus migrated from Nri, Igboland and moved Westward. As for the Aworis, those ones are pure Fulani. Their dialect bears witness to the fact that they are descended from Usman Dan Fodio.
I am Ijebu so i speak Igbo ba? You are guys are jokers and wankers.

another olodo brain from Imo state spotted at close range.
your parents shouldn't bother wasting Money on u all because they want u to further your education as it'll be a waste.
education is not meant for everyone.
you and your fellow Imo brothers and sisters are good for road side jobs and menial labours.
come to Lagos and see your brothers and sisters Hawking gala, vulcanizers, nannies and housemaids.
that's what u people are good at.
You sound frustrated, please improve your argument not your abusive language.

Nobody is forcing Igbo on anybody. But for the interest of South South and South East, we need a common language. And combining these two regions Igbo language is the most popular. These two regions need cohesion to foster strong economic development. And language will be a great deal. What Igbos need to do also is to teach other smaller tribes the art of business. Together we become a great people.
Not everyone in my Delta will want to learn Igbo. Or will you guys abandoned Igbo so we can adopt either ijaw, isoko or urhobo as that common language?

We already have English/Pidgin as a language we all understand. You guys can enforce your Igbo on the five south east state.
Even the anioma man will not substitute his language for Igbo

sorry dear, Igbos are not dragging anything with anyone, but as long as indigenous language isb concerned there is no other language that's more widely spoken in the old eastern region, with or without legislation, it's just so. unless the choose pidgin as their lingua franca.

I am from Delta State and every South South tribe take pride in their language. If adopting Igbo language is the only way to unity, then let there be disunity forever and ever Amen!

you know your first paragraph is simply impossible, do you know the Anioma people well? they are part of Ohaneze, you evidently are speaking out of sheer hate.

I was born and raised in the anioma part of Delta State. The politicians and leaders will take them toward ohaneze but the average man I know in the street don't see themselves as Igbo.
I speak the ukwani language very well and understand the Igbo language to a large extent

Did the governor attach SS in his statement? many people speak Igbo in th SS region too. but we are still talking about Imo state.
it's people like you who enjoy swimming in ignorant comments.
You just quote me without reading comments and know where my comment emanated from.

Or you were blind to see where your ibo brother, based on his attachee syndrome brought SS to the thread.
If ibos/SE decide to make ibo language compulsory in schools, what's the business of the SS here?

Always rushing into every discuss.

“Old Eastern Region” is what they tend to write if they don’t want you to accuse them of attachment or land grabbing cheesy grin

They want their freedom, want justice for ibos, but dont care about the feelings and yearnings of the other tribes in the old eastern region. Greed and land grabbing. Now they want to force their language on us again, just the way they did to our parents and grand parents.

They can keep their Ibo language to the SE we are not against that, but no one should attach the SS to this discuss. They better face th topic that's about Imo and leave the SS out of it.

Attaché by force!
