Was at pelican hotel around past 12am, got a request at globus supermarket to take her within chevyview. I had wanted to link chevyview estate from the back but saw a gate that barricaded chevyview off pelican which means I'd have to go all the way to igboefon to do a u-turn then head back to Chevyview. Called rider that I can't make the trip due to so and so reasons.... the picture showed what I got but me I don't slack to give the f^ck back

What the f*ck

Why are some people so condescending like this?

And these are people that want drivers to treat them like queens and kings.

Welldone namesake.
Please bro, can you please share the Airport parole?
Last time i took a rider to the Int'l airport, told her I've never been there, she said I shouldn't worry that she would help me navigate. I was reluctant at first, because of the stories of towing vehicles and parking wahala .
Picked her up on my street and she asked me to drive in through the local airport and i drove straight down to the Int'l airport parking lot where she alighted, immediately Taxify calculated her fare, she jumped out, i didn't know what to do (navigate my way out), I was apprehensive, had to ask a gun wielding police officer for a way out.
When I got to the exit, i was told to go back and pay, Local man was stunned!
Got to the pay point and was told to pay #500 .Gini !! I haven't spend 5 minutes here, the cashier said that's how it's done. Local man was flabbergasted, 1300 naira trip, now I have to part with #500.
After making payment, i was about to head into the car when a request to Lekki came through, i was excited but i had to ask how pick up is done.
The Police officer said i should tell the rider to come out and avoid parking on the 'Arrival no pick up point' . Did as instructed and was told to keep turning round until i spot the rider.
What I'm asking is : next time i get to the parking lot, can i go down the 'Arrival no pick up point ' and help rider with their luggage back to the parking lot or keep driving round till rider comes out or what?
And for the local Airport, if I drive in to the parking lot and request comes in, can i come out to help the rider with her luggage or ask them to come into the parking lot? Where can i pick them?
I am scared of their towing vehicles and penalty fees .

Next time a trip takes you to international, just drop off your rider at the departure and don't spend more than 2mins there. There 'll be no issues. And if you find yourself at the local airport, just make sure your rider is out there at arrivals waiting for you.
Pay at the cashier, drive down and pick him/her up, don't ever try to park at the zebra crossing pls.

For how much ride way she come make that kinda statement?

This was how it went.

On ending her trip from ilupeju to yaba, fare showed 500, I told her it's an issue , that i 'll do review or she gives me estimate.
Did review and it showed 1,400
This stupid girl insisted she 'll pay 500, even when her reciept was showing 1,400, that it's her gain.
She still had d guts to insult and abuse me sef.

That's just a way of keeping costs low. Same was suggested to me to hire a rotating crop on contract or I think it's called industrial attachment? Corpers basically because they come cheap. I thought that was exploitation.

She was rude, definitely but let's try to see the other side for a second. It's 12am (there are legitimate reason why she could have been out at that time before criticism starts), she needs a ride in a somewhat remote location, she thinks she has one then the carpet is yanked out from under her. It's possible he wasn't the first one she had gotten who had also cancelled, she's frustrated and he just got it. She may have just gotten in an argument with her man and was upset and just wanted to go home, etc..

Again, she was definitely out if line but it doesn't necessarily mean that was typical behavior for her. Before you respond, read below and think.

Well ultimately, that’s what it will come to.

You say you’re trying to cater to the demographics that can’t afford your services as at now by ‘rigging’ and dealing in tokunbo parts.

Those parts (inferior and tokunbo) fail like kilode.

Like it was noted, the upper middle class is growing and people are beginning to appreciate value in these parts.

That's why in my spitballing the caveat was something like EgunMogaji2's idea because the junk yards there have return and exchange policies. Depending on the parts there are even warranties.

As far as rigging, maybe managing is a better term. E.g. fixing an alternator instead of replacing it which we currently don't do. Won't come with a warranty but delays repair costs for a bit.

EDIT: Again, that would not be under this brand and would be a completely separate entity. This is by no means a planned action but just spitballing

Shey it's not typical of her behavior?
Buy it's typically drivers behavior to cancel trip/request for offline??

Last night I got a request from justrite iyana ipaja around 6:30pm, called rider to ask where he was going and he said Ayobo. Started trip and was seeing Ota Express. I shouted and asked him why he lied, he apologized and begged me not to end the trip, that's it's not actually so far from ayobo.

Being that I stay in Egbeda, I decided to go after the plea.
We got to his destination 8pm trip ended #1800, but got stuck in traffic on my way back due to bad road, I got to Ayobo around 10:45pm and got home around 11:30pm.

If I get such trip tomorrow and decide to ask for offline based on this experience, someone will come here and be asking for [b]how to report an uber driver.

You then become a regular. Please do not try to encourage the ‘penny wise pound foolish’ emotions of a consumer. We are tired of mediocrity.

Instead, what you should do is look for ways to provide finance options for the demographics (your customers) You already have an idea how bad it is, so you get a repayment plan of some sort put in place.

Eherbal is one of those people (demographics) that came to you for finance option and you outrightly declined. Now think about how may eherbals we have in the country and how much you declining on a reg.
