I thank God these Ghanaians are doing this during Buhari's tenure. Buhari is not Jonathan. These Ghanaians would learn the hard way.

For ordinary obstruction of investigation into Hammani Tidjani, Obasanjo locked Benin Republic out of Nigeria for 2 weeks.

Lagos State alone can deal with the whole of Ghana. Once they withdraw licenses issued to Ghanaian schools and ban Ghanaians artisans and traders from trading in Lagos, they would cry.

yes, benin Republic & Togo. Togolese aren't complaining. I spent 2 years in Tema Ghana, I know them well. They aren't that happy with those luxurious hotels owned by Nigerians, down to petty shops. Cote d'Ivoire & Burkina Faso aren't even complaining. Ghana has this hatred for Nigerians since Ghana must go. South africans better pass them I swear.

Honestly, they have no single reason to protest this border closure because there are 2 countries between nigeria and Ghana
You don’t understand the regional trade. There are more goods coming from Ghana into Nigeria than from Benin and Togo combined.
Two things makes Ghana different. One is that they have more local industries producing for export to other West African countries because of their favorable business environment. Constant power supply, security and infrastructure.
Secondly, they are English speaking with reputable private importers. Foreign countries prefer to deal with them than their other neighboring countries. So, big franchises and sole distributors of foreign goods are mostly based there and operate from there to the big market in Nigeria.
Lastly Nigeria regulatory agencies have so many bureaucratic hurdles. From customs, SON, to Nafdac, they are not business oriented. So, people prefer to go the Ghana route, to import and then through land borders bring their goods into Nigeria which is where the market is.
Now that is why Ghana is apprehensive. Big businesses are affected and boarder closure impacts their economy.

So Ghana has intentional laws that reserves some part of economic activities in the country solely for Ghanaians, while Nigerians are still being exploited daily in their own country as contract staff...

Nigerian government are yet to know the implication of this nonsense policy. Tunde Fowler, Emefiele and Boss Buhari are treading on a very dangerous part, that can lead to total collapse of the economy.

We make chinese yuan payment to your 1688 suppliers @ #52.5/RMB and we ship your goods down to nigeria from China cheaper, faster and secured.

the truth is that some people don't know how to use their Brain. Because if they do they will not blame Buhari of 4yrs on seat, knowinfully that most of those traders has spent more than 10 to 15 yes in Ghana.

Nigerians are funny sha, just to bear I dae abroad u guys go through hell.
With all the untapped locations in Nigeria with our large market somebody would go to Ghana to go and do petty trading.

If its there law I can't question it, but I hope ECOWAS won't scream blue murder when Nigeria retaliates.

I know many people from Niger republic in PH who own shops and kiosks and engage other petty services but we no send.

There country there rules Goodluck to them

Lol. You aren't a businessman so don't talk about trade and call their hustle petty. By the way, do you expect them to get money from where to start in a big way? Everything big started from small.

There reason for going out to these countries is that there are less competition over there than in Nigeria.

Many of them who you call petty do so very well than their counterparts here.

And they have very favorable business environment, standard of living better, and Economy more stable than in this mismanaged enclave called Nigeria.

Check them out, you barely see those guys there looking bony. Like guys from Senegal look so well fed, at least they eat well than their malnourished counterparts in this idiotic country called Nigeria

Yes, I agree, but do you know about the trade war between US & China plus part of Europe.

Trade deficit & manipulation of currency value.

What does Ghana produce that their currency should outshine the naira?
