Nigerian boys are playing with too much aggro. Lots of testestorone. Their legs are faster than their brains.

They need to calm down a bit, utilise their energy well.

We said this in their first game, said it in the 2nd, we are saying it in the 3rd match. Unfortunately we will say Same in the knock out stages but that will be the last time we will say this because:

1. They won't change, they've been terribly wired that way before the tourney began...it was the basis for their selection by Garba Manu .

2. They may not go past their next opposition unless those are more wasteful, purposeless, individualistic and tactless than these boys

It is not easy as you think, they are kids. I was once a young footballer like them, the urge to shoot, to score, they need a good coach to bring out the creativity, to discipline them, to shape their decision making.
Na where the wahala dey bdat o.
look at how spain, italy and co are playing this football. why?, because this boys has full support from d country side and most of them are choose by the ball dey play..
BUT in Nigeria, you are being selected by the amount of money you have. how senators and rich men go dey get slot for u17.... wen no be job again.

long passes, can't hold ball in midfield

well not surprised, the team reeks of nepotism and tribalism
Sense is far from you, and the rest of you who made this about tribe. Praying for your country downfall. Bitter people. Who cared when 80% of the Nigeria teams were from the SE region? So why the noise now?

Always playing victim, bitter people. Im outta this thread. Bullchit

The bitter truth is that we cannot win the tournament. Checkout, we have never lost in a group stage and went ahead to win the tournament at U-17 level in the past 5 we have won so far. grin grin grin grin grin

Finally Australia beats Nigeria at an age group competition. Manu Garba now has that unenviable record of becoming the first Nigerian coach to so attain.

On the contrary, I am impressed with their performance. But they need more work on their finishing and decisions making. But the game play is qood...

So many people fussing over a young team showing their naivety and youthful exuberance. Both teams played an open game like is often seen at this level. They will grow and they will learn.

I think you’ve all underestimated their group opponents. The Eaglets have played against well structured and tactically sound teams in Hungary, Ecuador and Australia.

Eaglets have been saved by their energy, high work rate and aggression. Their strengths just didn’t yield the required result today. If their shots had been a bit more accurate, they would’ve put a lots goals past the Aussie keeper.

I am more interested in the number of boys that will transition to the Flying Eagles and hopelly the Super Eagles rather than the trophy.

Is seems that you are not enlightened, even premier league, la liga, serie a and champions league and world cup can be fixed. corruption is everywhere even in fifa, caf. Have you ever wonder why african players perform better at clubs than when the play for countries.

i don't know why some mumu here are saying tribalism and Nepotism....
From day one, north aren't focus on football. instead they like joining militry forces... that's y northerners takes 70% of our country force. southerners on the other part love football as well as the west too...
So this doesn't mean there aren't good player's in the north.... what i do knw is dat hausa don't like football cus dey sees it as a watse of time but igbo dem dem believe in football, you can get rich.

shocked

How did PSG; first placed team lose to bottom placed Dijon, this is unbelievable, absurd and unacceptable

That being said, I make bold to say that 72% or more football matches are fixed, that's why boys hardly cash out big

Bubu's EFCC should be unleashed on the clubs, players and coaches for first degree crime and corruption

It's poverty mentality, they all want to disappear abroad without proper foundation. They don't even know the ABC of footie yet apart from ball hugging, dribbling and running all around the place like headless chickens .
These bunch sadly with all the potentials they have MAY not make through the 2nd round. All a good team needs to do is watch their videos and take advantage of their selfish individual play and porous defense...finish!!
Which one is dis good team u piple av bin talking abt all dis while? For ur information,no team in dis tournament dat is more beta dan those young eaglets u r seeing so.When good team meet dem, meet dem, meet dem!Wer r dey?Brazilians,Sparniard,Argentines,Italians? Are dey de ones dat r very technically sound dat Eaglets av never beaten dem or will not beat dem dis time around?Wen de chips r down,we shall see.

Australia are not yet out.

Four teams will qualify for the next round as best losers. With 4 points, they have a very good chance to move to the next stage.

Hopefully, losing this match will teach our boys a lesson and cause the necessary positive changes in the team.
