SEASON 2 OF THE NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALL FANS AWARDS IS HERE! THE NNFF AWARDS-2019 Ahmed Musa was crowned King of Nigerian football in 2019 while Tochukwu Oluehi was the Queen of Nigerian football. Are we going to have a new King and Queen for 2019? Let's play. First we nominate Monikers that will be saddled with the responsibilities of coming up with award categories and selection of players for the various awards. Just like for last year, the committee shall be made up of the top 7 Monikers nominated at this stage. Rules for nomination: 1. Every member of the house is qualified to be nominated. 2. You can only nominate one moniker. 3. You cannot nominate yourself. However it is advisable that you nominate a Moniker that is very knowledgeable about Nigerian football as a whole( Senior, Youth and Female Football). Nominations opened @ 12am, 1st November 2019 and closes @12noon of 8th November, 2019. Icon4s and Andrewbaba44 will be collating the nominations ( These two are also qualified to be nominated) To nominate a moniker for eg just mention : I nominate GreatNigeria59. Cc: Icon4s, Andrewbaba44 (please u must copy these Monikers) The nominations are already on-going..... ![]() |

forgiveness:Why then are u so bitter since the said atrocities against the Yoruba nation by leaving out Aluko, Taiwo, Obafemi , Ajiboye et al, was also committed by a fellow Yoruba man, Okechukwu Keshi? I never knew the Igbo nation was so powerful to force the Yoruba man to asslick us by filling the national team with the Igbos unmeritedly over the more worthy Yorubas Chai. Chai maybe keshi was an intelligent Yoruba man who actually knows where the solution(igbos) to his problem(hunger for success) lies, hence ran to the Igbo and they delivered him of a gold. The AFCON trophy in 2013 wasn't won by Nigeria, rather it was won by the Igbo nation Bkus filths of ur ilk labelled the team an Igbo team when the AFCON list was announced ![]() My unreserved apologies to any Yoruba man in here, who finds this post uncomfortable, I just felt the need to address this waste of an animal |

The Netherlands team I saw against Japan, Senegal and The USA are a highly attacking team. They usually dominate play and take the game to their opponents. Again Manu needs to really work on that defense and attack. At this stage, we can't be too loose at the back and too wasteful up-front. |

TheSuperNerd:Aaah... Can the Cardiac Eaglets survive Netherlands with that shaky defence and wasteful attack seeing how the Orange boys whitewashed USA by 4-0? Senegal may not find it funny with Spain ooo. Angola and Korea is dicey too. In other fixtures : Brazil v Chile Japan v Mexico France v Australia Ecuador v Italy Paraguay v Argentina Mouth-watering round of 16 |

Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi made 69 touches against Palace, and won 18 duels - along with team-mate Ayoze Perez, the most of any player on the pitch. Ndidi also made eight tackles and won possession 10 times, both game-high contributions #Wilfthebeast |

On Wilfred Ndidi.... From Squawka Football (@squawka): Who has made the most tackles in Europe's top five leagues so far this season? Who has made the most interceptions in Europe's top five leagues so far this season? The answer is the same: @Ndidi25 (Wilfred Ndidi)

Barryseal:You are confused, l haven't queried the contact methodology but the QUESTIONABLE EXTREME DELAY. In all your long talk you haven't answered the first question ❓ Which is why did it take the NFF two years and 8 months after his first invitation to train with the SE. Before they considered him for invitation. That's the core issue. Anything else is the outcome response to the unexplained delay but the NFF and double standard. It's become apparent that you can not trust the NFF and he has to consider other options after waiting to close to three years. That's the reality. But you want to sweep it all under the carpet and present the victim Eze as the perpetrator of dishonesty and lacking in integrity. |

Joebie:Dude why are you crying over a player in the championship that has decided to ignore us Is he better than the players we have? Is he more talented than our crop of U17, U20, U23? This is a thread of Nigerian footballers and as at now Eze is an English property so go cry elsewhere |

darkelf:The only manager caught for corruption and sharp practices was Graham in Arsenal many years ago. It's the perfect crime he who receives and he who gives, there is no incentive for anybody to reveal the truth and indict themselves. Corruption is RIFE in UK football and what colour are these people? and you think Nigeria NFF has no skeletons. Many Nigerian players will say nothing because you can not prove anything. And finally who wants all the drama and contention. So you will find it very hard to get evidence. Finally, there is what l know and there is what I can prove. My comments are based on proof not what l know. How do you think Rohr has survived in African football so long IMO he had adapted to our ways read it any way you like. |
