Everton midfielder Andre Gomes suffered an horrific leg injury during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Sunday, MySportDab reports.

The Portugal international was tackled by Son Heung-min, who was sent off, before landing awkwardly and falling into Serge Aurier.

The South Korean was shown a straight red and was immediately reduced to tears after seeing the damage his challenge had caused the midfielder.

Tottenham and Everton players were left distressed by the incident as Gomes needed immediate medical attention.

He left the field on a stretcher to the applause of Goodison Park.

Several players began to panic when they caught a glimpse of his ankle, which was twisted 90 degrees to the right from its normal position. watch the video..

One of the risk in football game! Son's reaction after the tackle was priceless, he felt so bad and terrible!

Even though footballers make loads of money, they are actually putting their bodies on the line

The Referee acted unprofessionally, he shouldn't have given Sun a red card in that circumstances, especially after seeing his reaction to Gomez injury.

It was actually Serge Aurier that broke that leg, Son only tripped him but Aurier did the damage.

I really felt sorry for Son as he was crying uncontrollably even the referee that issued red felt sorry for Son.
A certain Stephen Hunt of Reading fc wasn't this sorry when he broke Eduardo's leg that the doctors almost amputated.
Football is actually a dangerous sport when it comes to fracturing and dislocation of the upper and lower limbs.

Very unfortunate injury. No one was actually at fault be is Son or Aurier. Its just one of those things that happen.

Son crying and Aurier praying for him just shows that there's a lot of humanity in the game. Gosh that leg break was horrific tho.
