What you need to understand is those of us that have reservations about MTK have used it at a point in time before we came to that conclusion, while having it compared to non-MTK.

I guess you're a bit new to the thread, some of the people complaining about it have been using Xiaomi for years now before people started hearing about it here, and based on something similar that had happened in the past they're drawing people's attention to it so that no one will say they weren't warned. If you've been on the thread long enough you'll have seen when one or 2 persons come back pointing fingers saying they weren't informed about a certain thing. The more reason why people's attention are drawn to what ever might lay ahead of them.

Please for your own good put sentiments aside and learn from debates, nobody is all knowing.
We're all learning that's why you see solutions are given to over 80% of what ever issue arises.

Xiaomi no dey support mtk, but my 6a went from miui 9 to 10. Dem still promise 11 o, dude I even got android 9 update for a 30k sub phone. Except y'all are talking about custom ROM and shi, which most newcomers don't give a dammn about.

Wetin me I notice be say, they don't support(updates) phones with low sales nt mtk. Abi which processor dey note 6 Pro??.
