King of boys is closest thing to a Hollywood blockbuster movie Nigeria has ever produced.
Which King of boys? The one I watched or another? If you are to be very honest that movie was horribly directed. Some scenes were not detailed & not to forget it was averagely financed to my taste.
King of boys, Lionheart, Chief Daddy are all average movies.

internationally, Nigeria isn’t counted as an English speaking nation...they don’t care weda we were a former British colony ... why do u think we are required to prove we can speak English with IELTs & TOEFl for studies abroad despite all our education was taught in English

Stop getting emotional and try to understand the rule, it say non-english not offical lanuguage, stop being a loser.
Beorn:

Read and understand. The whole brouhaha has nothing to do with the movie being mediocre, but the fact that the movie was disqualified for using more English time than Igbo language time whilst English is our official language. The basis for the disqualification is preposterous. It has nothing to do with the movie not being up to par with other films selected in its category.

It says disqualified for too much English, not of language, I watch the movie so much grammar that end IP being boring. Just our attitude of showing off as nihwrians

Lets forget language, the movie had no content. I will take “The Bridge”, “October 1st” and “King of Boys” over it.

She knew if majority of language spoken in the film was in Igbo?if it did not do well in all the awards level,it would not do well in cinemas worlds wide..

All international films I watch online arebwither in French,Dutch, Russian and get the scope through subtitle.. Aunty go and sit sown

But languages in Nigeria are not 500+ now. Wetin happen. Where she get her fact from.

To be sincere, language apart. Majority agreed that the movie had a poor story line. It is so overated.

Infact, mokaliki by kunle afolayan and Ghost, a Toyin Abraham film best the movie in many ways.

Would you watch an Igbo movie if there were English subtitles?

The reason for the disqualification makes no sense. Do Russian make all their movies in Russian language or Germans. Well thinking about it they do bt i think it depends on the director and the scope or target audience.

The Movie should've been 94mins igbo and 12MINS English.

She knew the rules,
Why is she now crying foul play and sounding so pitable?
Did she submit the film or did she make the movie for the US market? Why face her when she is not part of the committee that selected the movie?

The Nigerian entitlement mindset, Your movie must get attention in the international community and because it is the first time ever you are being selected, you must win.
Imagine. Oh! She also said English is the Language of Communication giving credence to the Useless English spoken in Nigerian Movies,
What sense does their movie make?
What can you make of any Nigerian Movie except the same jargon permitted by the confused censorship board
You never attended any known school to brush up yourself since serendipity smiled on you and you rose under the bad fallen Educational system to Prominence by unlearned Lilliputians, (Nigerians) who celebrate deluded so called "celebrities" howbeit local and you want to use the same fraudulent system that honors mediocrity to win Oscar.
Go back and be real, put away the façade and the deceit. Be you and genus will not be masked
