Robbery is banned , yet robbers rob. Banning guns will not stop robbers from obtaining guns (or other weapons or weaponized objects). It will only prevent law abiding citizens from defending their lives and properties.

Criminals don't obey laws. That's why they are called criminals in the first place. Banning gun ownership (which is a constitutional right in the US), therefore is unconstitutional, and will only weaken the innocent masses while empowering the criminals even more.

As this story shows, nothing stops a bad person with a gun like a good person with a better gun.

A pregnant woman is credited with saving the lives of her husband and
daughter after she used an AR-15 to fatally gun down a home intruder, a
report said.
The hero mom sprung into action when two intruders entered the
family’s Lithia, Fla. home last week and pistol whipped her husband
while violently grabbing their daughter, according to the Hillsborough
County Sheriff’s Office.
“They came in heavily hooded and masked,” the husband, Jeremy King,
told Bay News 9 .
“As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me
and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter.”
The robbers then pistol-whipped King and kicked him while the man’s
wife, who is eight months pregnant, retreated into the bedroom.
“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped
him,” King told the outlet. “He made it from my back door to roughly
200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”
Police said in a press conference that they found the man’s dead body
lying in the ditch nearby. The second suspect was on the loose.
The homeowner said he took a “severe beating,” but credited his wife
for saving him.
“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion,
20 stitches and three staples in my head,” said King.
“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it. [My
wife] evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”
The sheriff’s office added that the firearm was in the home legally.

I doubt how effectively you think developed countries can do this, trust me with all the technology and scientific discovery ,trust me things don't go that easy.


and you forget man's ingenuity when he needs it the most ,2018 rated kitchen knives and other cutleries as been the highest in terms of murder weapons too.

No body is trying to ban guns in America; both sides of the dispute know and have accepted gun ownership in America is a protected right in the constitution that no one can take away.

The difference is around nationwide background checks, removing high caliber and rapid fire guns.

By the way, these restrictions are in place in some states, especially the blue states in the north east corridor. And myriad of people still legally own guns there.

When I go into a gun range to practice rounds, I want to be confidence that; the gun close to me carrying heaving guns with unlimited armor has been background check to ensure he or she does not have any mental issues and that due diligence was done before he or she was sold a gun and that that gun is registered, this way if it found at the bottom of the lake tomorrow and linked to a crime ownership can be traced.

These will not prevent criminals from illegally get guns from the black market; but it reduces or eliminate their easy access to guns frI’m the open market. Plus, they are criminals and already a liability to society and if found with illegal firearms is straight to jail.

Robbers will still get guns whether or not it is banned, the question is would you like to face them unharmed, knives are just are deadly as guns, and have been used to kill just as many pple as guns, are they banned? If a human wants to kill you, he probably will, and most certainly will if you are less armed.

By the way, some thieves in Nigeria sometimes write the neighborhood that they are coming lol.

Bear in mind that thieves will always get guns but knowing most people are armed will give them second thoughts.

But in Nigeria, 99% of thieves raids are successful.
