The crew flew by the book , one engine lost thrust at V2 the pilots followed the safety checklist by making an air return with the remaining engine . Great flying , this is the simple procedure the crashed Dana's captain refused to heed since he didn't want to miss his own flight to the US

And Las Las, he didn't get to the US. There's no hurry in life at all.

The pilot noticed a shift in parameter of the engines and decided to escalate. Can we give Air Peace a round of applause for employing safety dedicated pilots.


This alone should give Air Peace safety award of the year.

Dana's first engine failed about 30 minutes mid-air. Closer to Lagos than returning to Abuja.

He lost the the other engine later.

This action taken by the pilot was wonderful and he ought to be commended. It is very very hard for a plane to crash except if someone did not follow set procedures.

Almost 90% of plane crash are cause by the pilot.
Human error,very few cause my technical & electrical faults.

This is interesting to hear. Never quite got to read the report from that crash.

My mother-in-law was on that plane. I was able to get the report of the crash. I even have it on my drive somewhere.
