No regrets.

Ensure u come out with at least 2.1, the sky will be your limit in terms of meeting job qualification criteria, which you will always ace as an Engineering graduate.

Have passed many bank aptitude test which Management course graduates find difficult. Presently waiting for NNPC Appointment letter, which I strongly believe I will get.

I read Chemical Engineering. I regret it everyday! I should have read Guidance and Counselling. Engineering is not worth stressing yourself for in Nigeria.

Engineering is the best profession in the whole world if only you know the technical know-how behind your choice of engineering discipline. The problems with NIGERIA ENGINEERS are lack of technical know-how, research, innovativeness, commitment and creativity. Other factors include poor performance in terms of practical knowledge. Make sure you take your industrial training(SIWES) seriously and be practically focused. Try to graduate with First class or 2.1, Go for further training in engineering softwares related to your discipline. Modern engineering tasks are mostly being good in engineering softwares and practical applications.

Engineering is great.. Yes... But trust me there's no profession on this planet that is as important as medicine and surgery...

Terrible! And what of engineers who design hyperbaric chambers, incubators and suction units? Can you design one from scratch?

What of the fine arts graduates who draw all the most delicate parts of the body shown in medical textbooks?

Hope you know how to draw

Without those talented people who can produce a new scanner from blueprint to manufacturing, where would doctors be?

I once attended a launch for a new scanner by Nikon, let me tell you, those people are amazing and should be appreciated.

To start with, I congratulate you on your admission. Basically, education system in this country has been deteriorating with little or no attention from the respective body.

Studying engineering would be one of the best thing that could happen to you if you put in your best. My advise is that you utilize google, YouTube and other online resources to garner useful knowledge for yourself. In school, you will be thought theories, even theories that are outdated. Look up to the scholars in your department, stick with them, they will probably put you on right track.

Learn latest softwares, go for different training, learn programming languages and the likes. If you do all these, I'm sure you will thank me later.

I wish you success as you move to the next phase of life.

I would advise you try and learn a skill at your spare time, the labour market is not that Rossy.
Having an extra skill give you an edge over others with just the certificate, there is a lot of competition out there

My brother you av got yourself a good course, the only regret I had studying engineering is that I waited for my lecturers to teach and make me an engineer, but the course is far beyond that, you must have to go out of your way to become a better engineer. You have the powers to either make urself a good engineer or half baked engineer with the help of ur lecturer and directives from a practical Engineers, try to acquire engineering skills outside the classroom I.e, AutoCAD Archcad, and so on u never can tell when it will be applied in ur field of study, Good luck and don't be discouraged you have made the right choice

You can never regret studying engineering, especially if you are smart and study a good course like electrical, mechanical, chemical and even materials. It is a lot of rigour doing well thus it requires a combination of discipline and intelligence A lot of opportunities abound globally if you finish strong with a good CGPA. If you don't get a good job in Nigeria, you can decide to explore opportunities abroad. You can never really lack a good job in the long term if you study engineering and finish well with a solid CGPA and age on your side.

The problem comes if you end up with a 2.2 and keep struggling from one low earning job to another.

Thanks

And you depend solemnly on Engineering for your medical equipment. Even presently you have Biomedical Engineering, using fluid mechanics, structural mechanics and applied mechanics to study cell behaviour, tissues, bones, cancer and lots more.

Now that you've been offered admission, if others' regrets is what is next in your head, you might not really go far. I can assure you you'll be battered and bruised, demoralized and downcast. You'll fail and fall short of your own expectations in engineering but what would keep you going is the passion to be an engineer.

Leave other people's regret and focus on how to overcome this big hurdle you found for yourself.

I forgot to tell you too, you'll learn nothing.
Also make friends with successful engineers through professional associations
Just water your passion
