Hi anyone!
I have this Huawei E5336Bs-2 that displays my SSID and PWD. This can make anyone who lays their hands on the device to connect to the internet without my approval.
I believe there has to be a way of hiding this from displaying on the screen.

Just login to the modem administration page and do one of the following.

1. Limit number of users that can connect
2. Block out all users and create a whitelist that allows only your devices to connect.

Option 2 is better

Thank you very much for your response. But does that mean that there is no way for me to hide the display?
Hiding the display is my top target but it's not possible then I'll prefer the option two. Also, how do I go about the option two?

I don't know how your configuration page is like , but when you see said, check the disable said , that should. Also put in consideration on the device you need to connect to you have to use a manual configuration

I doubt there is a way to hide the ssid and password from showing.

For option 2, you need to connect the modem to your laptop and access it via its IP(you can get the IP, username is usually admin and the password is also on the backside of the modem. You should see these details once you remove the battery)

you can log into your server for starters, when this is done, you will be able to find whoever is online using your data and there is a stop and block option at your disposal. Block the particular phone or computer name you wish to prevent from accessing your wifi, and unblock whenever you feel the need to, you can block as many device as possible, these thieving devices are all visible when you log into the server. Can i get an amen?

Hello! While at the university i also used to have such a device not Huawei but ZTE if I remember correctly. The whole class kept connecting to my wifi and consuming the traffic. For a while I just went along with it as I thought that there was nothing I could do. A friend of mine recommended me to just enter the device manager in admin mode https://router-passwords.com/ip/192-168-10-1 and just block all the unwanted ips. You can also limit the number of connections there, very useful instrument.
