Go to settings>Manage Apps then click the 3dot at the top right cover. Click "default apps", then set the follow come phone app as default.

If it's the default app that's missing the call record option, then a later update should fix that.

Many people getting the note 8 here, I hope to join the gang next week though. This moonlight colour fine ooo, maybe I will get this colour instead of the blue that is already too rampant.

Try the one working for Redmi 8, it might work but there is no known working GCam port for Redmi 8A currently.

Like I tell people if you know GCam is a priority then put it in consideration when choosing a new phone.
