So the essence of going to school for him is to be rich. What a genius.

As someone above said, it is better to burn the certificates since he doesn't understand the value. Be educated to become useful to society. So long as you are useful, making money is automatic. No one ever became rich by chasing money but by making something useful that eventually attracted money. If he went to school without understanding this, it is indeed better he burns his certificate.
