Since NYSC have approved hijabs for moslems skirt has to be approved for ladies whose religious beliefs forbids trousers.
Go to NYSC Secretariat. Hold a gun to the DG's head, and compel him to allow NYSC female corper to wear skirts. End of story.

Have you ever done man o'war drills and exercises in NYSC Camp? Climbing the ropes and jumping? You think you can do so in skirts, without those behind you seeing your panties or underwear?

Always believe that there would be non-conformists as long as this issue is concerned.
At the time that instruction was given in the old testament, men were wearing robes and not trousers. Show me where it is written in the Bible that 'trousers are men's wear. Just spell out the chapter and verse.

The same Bible talks about offering burnt sacrifices. Do you as a Christian still offer burnt sacrifices today?

Participating in the NYSC scheme is NOT by choice! Our laws should be flexible enough to accommodate our beliefs within limits! The quest not to wear trousers is within reasonable limit in my opinion

Laws are meant to be Laws. We should get that in this country

And unreasonable laws are subject to be changed - that's why we have a process of civil disobedience that often leads to amendments.
It's funny that a society that not even 20 years ago was mostly against women wearing trousers is now annoyed that women aren't wearing trousers.

Two of my cousins just finished their service year and thousands more have gone through the process, wearing the khaki trousers diligently year after year. Many people just make statements ignorantly. That's how a couple of years back someone said we do not watch TV. Abeg, stop banding us together with Deeper Life people. We know how to enjoy life

I did my NYSC almost 20 years ago! So what am I doing in NYSC camp? What is the essence of seeing a lady's undies? Mean nothing to me! Have you seen ladies that don't wear trousers in skirt?

We should stop this faith issue please, if you know your faith(Religion) does not allow you to wear such attire why coming to participate in NYSC, he/ she should have applied for exemption. Is high time we get this into our head law is law

The ladies didn't know that trousers were meant for wimen. Men didn't suppose to put on trousers, because the testicle was meant to be receiving air and doing some pendulum movement that's why God created it to be outside.
In so called Islamic and Christian holy land women wear trousers, it help or protect woman from been rape. Unlike when a woman put on skirt or wrapper, it can just be raised and easy to get access.

I find it obnoxious to call someone a fanatic because the person has a different preference. Laws are made for the people, and therefore it must put the people into consideration.

Laws made in Nigeria, must also have religious considerations, because our people are very religious. Personally, I see no reason why NYSC should be made mandatory for women. It should be made optional.

I agree, NYSC shouldn't be made mandatory for women. Those ladies would have gladly exempted themselves if they could do so
