Crushsugar pls I have some questions.
1) will you advice a RN holder to do Top-up degree program in UK
2) How quick can a RN nurse get started with the program after touching down UK
3) is it doable while working? does it come with so much stress? Is the financial implication bearable?

Why not start by getting a full time job. Your trust could sponsor you, get additional qualifications...........

Can be done during working schedules..... No pain.... No gain........

So, my husband came with some naira notes and we have been trying to change it and all the BDC we have been said they don't change naira even in places where they change most currencies. Now we are stuck with it.
Trade by barter is your only option..... Look for someone travelling and offer them.....

They are more likely to low ball you, but you have no choice.....

Or keep the naira, until your next trip to 9ja.........

Nigeria naira is worthless outside Nigeria. It can't even be exchanged for any currency outside Nigeria.

After IELTS, you have every employer/agents running after you because they are in need of nurses.
It wasn't difficult at all.
It is possible to apply directly to a hospital but by my own observations, it is more stressful.
I applied through an agency.
Please do not pay any agent because they are being paid by the employers for their job.
After my IELTS, I sent my CV to my agency which I consider very professional, judging from the openness on their site.
They set me up for a Skype interview, and I got the job.
After that all the paper work began and I took the CBT exam; UK Nursing competency part 1 exam.
The part 2 which is OSCE would be done in the UK.
I hope I have answered your questions correctly.
Do you know of any agency that offer jobs for Graphics Designers, video Editors?
Thank you

Hi @crushsugar, thanks for all the responses you've provided so far. Hope you've been enjoying your stay, work and all the processes of settling in?

I have some questions please.
- What kind of visa were you granted to come over and work?
- If your spouse had accompanied you, what kind of visa do you think he'd have been granted? Would that visa be sufficient for him to relocate and resume work there?
- I saw job vacancies similar to yours and the advertised work shift was from 7am - 8pm. Does that also apply to you?
- What advice would you give for a family with kids and both parents having to work? How do you think they could cope with the kids?

Would highly appreciate your response.

Warm regards.
