Greetings my fellow Nlanders.

Okay, i stumbled upon a BMW E30 in good shape "Engine and first body" but the interior was a mess, and the floor was rusted. I uploaded it on nairaland auto section: https://www.nairaland.com/5283935/classic-bmw-318-1988-e30 .

Trust nairalnders dem wan use mouth finish me. Sotey person come dey price am 100k.... lmao.

I ve always liked the car anyway but could hardly see one in a good condition. I then decided to purchase and restore to my taste.

Duration: 4 months (July- October)

Things changed:
Complete Dashboard with speed clock.
Steering wheel(Had to go for the 3 spoke wheel)
Gear knob and leather
Pedals
Floor rug
Chairs
Sound deadner( to reduce external sound)
Booth spoiler
Halo ring led head lights
Glass tint
Matte ash external body paint
Sony sound system with Aux input/usb/mp3
Chilling AC (SUPERB)
Upgraded to 16" alloy wheel from 15"
Complete michelin all weather tyres.

NB: Most parts were ordered via Amazon because its hard to get them here.

Working on the floor rust before adding sound deadner....

Of cus i had to change the color to matte grey with black details....

My seats arrived and damn i was blown away....

Black calf leather and afrocentric polished leather with purple stitching...

the silver paint job looks good as well as the angel eyes and the ankara inserts on the seats.

What about the engine and the suspension? Have you sorted them out as well?

The Engine was in perfect shape with water dripping from the exhaust, i only serviced it .. Few leg works was done. Based on the age of the car 31years i guess its a good deal.

How much did it cost you?

Then i bought the rear light (smoked) $120 but made a mistake bought 2 steps instead of 3 steps.... was so pissed cus it couldn't match.

amSTARboy nice overall job and finish, you executed the whole restoration job very well. Enjoy your ride. It's been quite a while we had a restoration project in the car talk section. Would have loved to see engine pics too.
