You are just evading the truth. The above article clearly highlights the corrupt decision and lies made by the EPL officials.

The VAR officials knew it was a penalty and clearly denied City it. This is why I like VAR, now we know the agenda is clear.
Stop been hypocritical, the ball hit Silva's arm before hitting that of Trent. By default it's not a penalty. Watch the video well

Man City fans should hold their L and keep moving, City has benefitted from shady calls in the past and nobody started a thread to complain.

First one perhaps not a penalty....it came off Silva's hand first.....

Second one, definitely a Penalty....

The worst thing is that after this international break, you will still see a referee award that same penalty against a Villa or Sheffield Utd.

Worse thing is that, VAR can see toe-offside like the charade in the Spurs-Sheffield game but justify rubbish here.

I stopped taking that VAR seriously when rojo's handball in the Nigeria-Argentina game was over-ruled.

All I know is that if the referee had given City that penalty(the one between Sterling and Trent), then we will be getting ready to have 5 penalties in every EPL match

Unless we want defenders to start amputating their hands
the have been giving this kind of handball since the season started. English ref are just inconsistent and the var officials are corrupt. Even English refree chief Riley admitted that the var is filled with error. Time to bring var to the pitch side like it is done in other league. They are always afraid to give penalty when two big clubs are playing

The point of the thread is not whether it should have been a penalty or not but the officials lied despite replay showing otherwise due to them being against City.

Mr op, that article or interview you read wasn't talking about the first handball, it was talking about the second one Sterling played on Arnold's hand. If you read without hate you would have realised. Why does liverpool have so many haters??

Neil Swarbrick, the man whose job it is to oversee the implementation of VAR in the Premier League claimed it was the correct decision.

Speaking on BBC Five Live, he said: “That’s the subjective part – was it in an unnatural place? When you look at it, at no point does Trent Alexander-Arnold’s arm move towards the ball.

“His body posture … his arm is there. His arm has got to be somewhere. His arm is slightly away from his body but that is a neutral, natural position for his stance at that moment in time.

“The ball came from a short distance at pace, and just happened to hit that arm. He didn’t move the arm towards the ball, it just hit the arm.

“Michael Oliver has seen that clearly. That’s what he explained. He said ‘I know it’s hit the arm, but there is no arm movement, it’s come at short distance, I’m comfortable that that’s not deliberate handball’.

“It has to be deliberate in the penalty area to give a penalty. It’s different to scoring a goal, where it can be accidental. To give a penalty it’s got to be deliberate.

“Michael deemed it not to be deliberate. The VAR has looked at that, listened to what Michael said, and it absolutely married up.”

Except that is simply not true.

Not only that, Swarbrick, Oliver and the VAR all failed to see it, which questions either their eyesight or their integrity – take your pick.

Swarbrick also failed to mention the actual letter of the law.

He said it was about whether the arm was “in an unnatural place”.

The law actually states: “It is usually an offence if a player: touches the ball with their hand/arm when: the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger” or when the arm is raised above the head.

From being by his side, Alexander-Arnold’s arm indisputably rises and moves away from his body, therefore making his body “unnaturally bigger”.

VAR has been an unmitigated disaster. And with officials refusing to admit huge errors, and do something about them, it will continue to be so.

By the time the ball reaches Alexander-Arnold and strikes him, his arm has risen to a 45-degree angle

Rubbish post.
Man city had a whole 90mins to score more than one goal but they didn't. Just accept it, Liverpool outplayed man city. Liverpool were the better team. They even had more shots on target.
Man city is not like a Watford team that if u score them first they get demoralized. Man city plays till the 90th minute but Liverpool was simply better than them.
By the way, that fabinho's goal was an advantage given because of the first hand ball on Silva's.

‘One way or another, the action should have been stopped there and then,’ Kompany told Sky Sports. ‘You can argue about Bernardo’s handball, I don’t think he knows about it, but that [Alexander-Arnold’s] is a handball, that’s not a natural position.

‘Bernardo’s is in a natural position, Alexander-Arnold’s isn’t.’

There is no need for all this. Even if the match officials lie, it is obvious they are protecting there image and do not want media backlash...but the fact still remains it ain't a penalty.

It wasn’t a penalty. Watch the replay again, sterling looked very well and clearly played the ball right straight into the hand of the defender! His hands was not raised above his knees.

If I was the referee, I would have booked sterling! That is intention to cheat during a heated match! By the way, Mancity were completely outclassed by the counter attacking machines of Liverpool.
