Any effort to attract foreign exchange to Nigeria is welcomed. That's why in my own little way I have opted to work for USA based survey site that pays me $3-$5 each day. I am actually adding value to the Nigerian economy when I sell this dollar for naira. If all Nigerian youths starts contributing this small amount of foreign exchange to our economy, just imagine how strong the naira would become. Meanwhile, check my signature for link if you are interested in survey site |

i wonder if they didn't expect this to happen before ? its time cadbury's returned to Nigeria enough of us importing Milo and bournivita from ghana our cocoa market is about to be forced into being revived, if they know what to do, the agidingbi cadburys cocoa mill should take off we have the market for our products and we have the capacity for local supply, if we need more we can import cocoa from Ghana same with Dunlop tyres Any company that is serious about doing manufacturing business should first build their own power plant 3000kwa power plants to 1megawatt wouldnt cost them N500m to get done - this would create employment for engineers |

As a Ghanaian I am happy that zoo borders remains closed. It will prevent more animals entering into a peaceful and civilised society like Ghana and disturbing our peace. Next on the agenda is closing every shops owned by Nigerian and sending them back to the zoo ![]() |

Poultry farmers beg President Buhari not to reopen borders https://i0.wp.com/nairametrics.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Poultry-farmers-1.jpg?resize=900%2C563&ssl=1 Poultry farmers and other stakeholders in the industry have given their support to the policy of the President Buhari-led administration on the closure of the country’s land borders. They also pleaded that the borders should be permanently closed. This, according to them, would drive the nation’s economic growth and food sufficiency. Speaking during the opening ceremony of this year’s Nigeria Poultry Show organised by the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), the poultry farmers said that Nigeria could only get better with the border closure, as it would equally boost sales and production in the industry. While giving his address on the theme, “Nigeria Poultry Industry: Managing the Value chain for National Development,” the President of PAN, Ezekiel Ibrahim supported the border closure, saying that it would translate into greater employment opportunities in Nigeria. https://nairametrics.com/2019/11/06/poultry-farmers-beg-president-buhari-not-to-open-closed-borders/ |

NigeriaIsDoomed:I think it will be nice if Federal Government can find ways in which our borders can be well protected against smuggling and proper channels opened for people to legally bring in their consignments and duties or levies duely collected from the individuals or firms making use of these channels. Unemployment rate is so high in Nigeria but we have avenues through which graduates can be gainfully employed by helping to secure our borders and part of the revenue made from this land border used to offset their bills. I believe if we Nigerians can reason very well, most of these issues are things we can solve without causing any problem. What our leaders need now is to think critically on best ways to solve this problem without causing more problem to ourselves and the economy which is not doing well right now. |

Seun:And closing of border isn't a one-way-street also. Buhari only closed it to allow his breathe n sell their harvest. He already promised us reopening of the borders after the end of year festive period. |
