You are welcome to my little tour of Berlin.

TAKE NOTE!
This information is according to my perspective, may not be accurate & is liable to change as Berlin evolves, so take note.

Hello Guys, I never imagined I would be one day writing about Berlin on NL, well here we are.

How did I arrive here?
I booked a ticket from Lagos arriving @ Frankfurt Airport Am Main. Got to my destination apartment & spent some days. I already have some friends in Berlin who are already Balling, so they Invited me over.

Ticket Amount: 277k From Wakanow [ Return Ticket for sometime in the distant future ]
Route: Lagos to Frankfurt via Ethiopian Airlines, first stop = Addis Ababa
Accommodation in Frankfurt: 400 Euros (Yeah It's cheap, I know) grin grin grin

Frankfurt Am Main airport was 1 Degrees my brothers, I nearly froze to death just standing by @ the Airport, I kid you not.
I won't be dwelling so much on Frankfurt now, so that's another Tour thread.

I took a Train from Frankfurt to Destination -> Berlin. This train took me round Germany & finally got to Berlin after 8 hours, Yes you read that correctly. 8 Hours. Obviously I must have bought the wrong ticket.

The Main Story
Ironically for me, Berlin is less colder from the city I was coming from. I came from another city into Berlin, I got through Berlin Central Station, also called Berlin Hauptbahnhof. It is the main railway station in Berlin, Germany.

What is the Central station like? My thoughts below:
Imagine Berlin Central Station, like an Oshodi [ For train stations, not Buses ] where you get Trains going anywhere around Lagos & so much crowd you would see from many regions, everyone talking at the same time etc but this time Filled with so much Advancement .Berlin Hauptbahnhof is an ultra modern train station with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes ... Beautiful Designs.

[ Picture of Berlin Central Station ] -- Errm will update later...let's continue

Entering trains in Berlin & finding your destination:
Trust me, this Central station is Fvcking confusing, for the first 20 minutes, I was super confused.

There are Self service ticket centers make it easy to get your tickets. Very busy station so come early for your train. A ticket for 3 hours I bought cost 3 Euros [ 1,200 Naira @ 1 Euro/400 ], alternatively there are tickets for a full day going for 7 Euros [ 2800 Naira @ 1 Euro/400 ].

I got to my stop at a place called Alexanderplatz & I came down, took some pictures.

Friendly atmosphere in the train:
When you enter the train, no one officially asks to check your ticket, but trust me. There is a hidden clause to this. There are officials walking around the train seldomly checking peoples ticket, at least this was my experience.

WARNING:
Once you are caught, Fine is 60 Euros [24,000 Naira @ 1 Euro/400 ].

Some people were playing instruments in the train station, entertaining people, asking for money etc.
In my mind, I'm like in this Sweet country. This ones still dey beg for money. Can't they go & work ni undecided undecided undecided

The people in Berlin - Crowd.
Berlin is a city full of plenty English speakers, you may be deceived that the whole Germany is like this but mean na BIG LIE OH. Once you leave Berlin city, you are on your own, once you don’t speak German. Na OYO levels be that.

The street Signs in Berlin, Buses, Message board etc

Berlin buses are usually Yellow in color. They have stops at every junction with a Sign you have to watch out for. Buses usually come in X minutes, some 20 minutes, others 2, 4, 7 minutes. Some Bus stations have it written all over it.

Each Bus stops has this sign, the name is written on it & you can hardly miss your way.

Ticketing stands - Do it Yourself

- Pretty easy to use, enter your Ticket type. Whether Single Ticket or Ticket for a full day.
- Then put your money.
- It collects only 1, 2, 5, and 10 Euros. Any denomination greater will be rejected.
- Validate your ticket.

Picture of the Road Rails in Berlin used by Mini-Road trans - This one Freaked me out

- There is actually rails on the same roads that Vehicles pass through, like same exact road not separated spaces for Rails.
- This goes on a very short distance & from one area to the other.

This can never work in Lagos, because our Roads are too bad & plyed by Trailers. Imagine a Train being stuck because of bad road spoilt by Trailers.

The giant statues to Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in AlexanderPlaz, Berlin is a very impressive set of statues in honour of the fathers of Communism, that failed belief of the Soviet people that thankfully fell apart when people saw sense.

The Dirtiness of Berlin!

Berlin is pretty dirty compared to all other European countries, But compared to Lagos, Ah It's very clean oh. in-Short super clean grin grin grin

To be honest, Berlins seems very dirty & comparable to Lagos in that aspect. People smoking everywhere & throwing Cigarets on the wrong, someone eating Rice & throwing their pack on the ground. I saw someone Pissing at the Train station on the ground.

The Dirtiness of Berlin!

- More Pictures of Dirty Berlin.
- People begging for alms
- I sense a little form of poverty in Berlin probably because of they were separated too much from the West in the 80's. That made other regions proper more than them.
- Some people will eat & instead of them to throw their packs in the appropriate place as there are Bins every where, they would just leave them there.

As i found out, other places is Germany are actually Super clean. EG: Munich is sparkling clean, Frankfurt is also clean.

The Berlin Wall.

- Art showing Brezhnev Kissing Honecker on The Berlin Wall? It's called “The Kiss” or “The Kiss of Death. ... And when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, the Soviet artist Dmitri Vrubel decided to paint the iconic image on the east

People were taking pictures in front of these two Men kissing art.
I also saw some Men kissing right here, trying to replicate the image. Mehn me i just comot my eyes, God forbid oh.

Free WIFI in Berlin Underground Train Stations U-Bahn cheesy cheesy cheesy

- I cannot stress this enough, the fact there is free Wifi there & you can basically sit, download stuff with your PC. Go home & watch without no one disturbing you. The Wifi is also fast & save.

- In Nigeria, once you hear free WIFI, It's either the WIFI will never work or too slow. Infact I have never seen any Free WIFI initiative by Lagos state or Nigerian government hat ever worked. IT DOESN'T FVCKING WORK.

My brother, I swear I never see am before. Even those movies I never noticed. I know of double loaded Buses in the UK, underground Trains but not Rails on the city roads. I traveled to Dubai last year, Nothing like that mehn, even though Dubai is super nice & so much clout, their advancement is just coming up these specific areas honestly.

GERMAN WOMEN

Hmm this one is a bit dicey because I haven't met enough German women to conclude, but German women are beautiful to be honest.
An average German lady is good looking, smiles a lot when they meet you or when you stop them to ask for directions, well you shouldn't mistake it for green light as that's not what it is.

I see it as them trying not to be Racist or discriminate against non-Germans, so they tend to smile a lot.

Their ladies look healthy & I never saw any lady that was Obese, not even 1. Well, I will keep looking around for their women.

Cars don't impress them so much like Nigerian ladies!
According to what I was told by a German lady i met, we had a small discussion in the Inter-City train I entered. Their life does not revolve around cars because transportation system is good & even if they want a Car, Germany produces the world best cars so they can buy one on credit facility. Your Career would probably impress a girl more here to be honest.

Do German girls fancy Black guys?
Err not really oh, Judging from my Guys working in Berlin full time for a while now, It's not as easy as it seems. Please go back home & bring your wife. Germans prefer their own Men.

Nyash or No Nyash?
Most of them are slim oh, no nyash at all, but I do see some curvy German ladies too.

Maybe as time goes on, my views will change, but for now. This is it.

Yes, i forgot to add. Badoo.com works differently in Germany from Nigeria. At least, you would get good responses & great communication.
Especially if you can write well in German.
