I had same issue when I used colgate. Switched to punch and Judy and we've been good. The flouride in adult toothpaste is too much for a kid.

I thought i was the only one who has issues with colgate. I was cool with colgate 0-2 Years but then after we switched to colgate 2-5, my son had bad breath even with brushing twice a day. I switched to maclean 1- 6 and its been good so far.

Looool. No, it's fine. Her bones are just getting strong. Give her natural foods rich in calcium and vitamin D (Google it)

My son had bow legs when he started walking at 8 months, he's almost 3 now and there's nothing like that

Thank you so much momma. Imagining it alone is disturbing. I pray the leg straightens up o coz mine and hubby's are straight.

Yeah I was even surprised cos their toothpaste has nice flavors. The only initial issue we had with the punch and Judy was that he hated the taste but eventually he got used to it. Tried maclean's and he hated it

Get a second opinion. If you're in Lagos go to Guiness eye centre in Luth, Eye foundation in GRA (theres also one in Ibadan) or theres one Catholic eye hospital around Iju area. Unfortunately I can't remember the name but it's quite popular

Those people will be able to give you great advise

Ancillia Catholic hospital eye centre
Off iju road, agege. They have another Branch at lekki too.
They have qualified personnel, well equipped and quite affordable.

Hahaha! Your inlaw is very funny. But if you want to continue breastfeeding, then you should try lactation cookies. I heard they work wonders.

However, i don't think think there's anything wrong with your baby eating so much but you can ask your pead to be doubly sure.

Lastly, there's NO difference btw a breastfed and formular fed baby. Just make sure you wash the bottles and sterilize properly. If your power no reach to do exclusive, please add formula. Don't allow anybody live out their fantasies through you. One love
thank you for this last statement, someone was telling to do EBF with twins, she said she did with her son for 6mnths that I can also do that there’s no much difference.i did not argue with her I just said okay....I feed my babies with SMA GOLD and I breastfeed them well too infact people keep asking me how old they are if I say they are less than 2months they won’t believe...pls feed your baby well don’t let anybody makes you start what you can’t finish biko

Good evening my sabi mamas, pls come and help one of your own o, in August my monthly flow started on the 17th and lasted for 3days, then in September i was suppose to see it on the 14th but it didn't show up, then i started having lower back ache after about 3days of having the ache i started spotting brownish discharge and sometimes brownish blood but it was more of brownish discharge than blood and never bright red blood so i went to the hospital and my doctor referred me for scan, all these while the ache has stopped, went for the scan and nothing was seen, no sac, no heartbeat and no sign of missed abortion, no ectopic pregnancy either, took the result to my doctor and he referred me again for another scan but this time at a very reputable scan center and the result was the same so he repeated the pt and it was a strong positive so he told me to watch it for another 4weeks and repeat the scan and gave me routine drugs. Now my issue is that all tru October there was no issue, no spotting so if I'm still pregnant i should be showing by now been it would be my 3rd baby and there would be some signs and symptoms but i don't have any whatsoever, my stomach is the same size and i don't feel pregnant in any way, and if I'm not what could be the issue, pls all mamas with such experience or any mama that have an idea what could be happening should pls help me as the wait is killing me. Thanks and God bless.

Congrats mama. No two pregnancies are the same. Maybe this one decided to come without symptoms. A friend of mine found out she was pregnant at 6 months; she was “seeing her period” and had no symptoms whatsoever. Funny thing that happened is that immediately she found out, all the sicknesses and weakness fell on her and then her bump shot out within a few days cheesy Enjoy it and fingers crossed for a positive feedback at the end of the 4 weeks

Good day Mamas, I gave birth late Thursday night via normal delivery and since then I have not been able to breastfeed my baby cos breast milk is yet to come out. Please note that I'm taking pap and the baby is taking NAN1, though thinking of changing to another good formula. Kindly help with possible solutions. Thank you. From a worried FTM.

Did she hit her face anywhere or was she hit? Rubbed her eyes too much or maybe have a cold? I believe is not an emergency something but then I'm not a doc neither do I know if she's experiencing any pain. If you are worried, you can take her to the hospital and doc might prescribe an antibiotics or an eye drop or maybe tell you to go home that it'll clear.

Nan 1 is very ok. Keep putting baby to breast i.e let the baby keep sucking, do this at intervals daily. It will come.

Congratulations.

Techhybabe, posted dis some days back though I haven't tried it cos am not breastfeeding at the moment. Try it, it might work for you
Halcyon123:
Someone shared what she used to aid supply though I have not tried it out cos am not breastfeeding at the moment. Maybe it might work for you. Get beans and grind to powder form. Then you get washed bitter leaf and boil it. Mix the beans powder with cold water and pour the boiled bitter leaf water in the beans mixture and stir. Add honey and take. You make it just the way you make pap. Hope dis helps.

Hi please listen to my story

I have a newborn and I am currently going through post parting depression which has weighed me down a lot over the few months. My mother in law is staying with us to help. Now with breastfeeding, it has really not been easy. I am in constant pain, It has physically drained me out and I also thinking it was contributing to my depression. When it’s time for breastfeeding, I would constantly cry and it was making me resent my beautiful child. Sometimes as a new mum you just feel like there’s nothing in the world apart from your breast and your baby, it was making me very miserable along with the other postpartum stress I have to deal with. I was just overwhelmed by everything. So I have decided to give my baby formula and at first I felt bad, but I noticed an immediate relief off my shoulders and my mood began to rise. My husband was also able to help me with feeding and I was just relieved.

Since I’ve started formula feeding my mil has been so abusive towards me. Calling me lazy, saying that I want to do shakara hence why I’m not breastfeeding. Calling me selfish and all sorts all because I don’t want to ‘compromise’ my sanity for breastfeeding. She also speaks in her native language (husband and I are from different tribes) saying all manners of things, all because I have switched to formula. I have discussed this issue with my husband, and he has tried to be supportive however he is just trying to please both of us, and he is encouraging me to do exclusive breastfeeding despite everything that I have been going through. He claims it’s the best for our baby. Now I’m back to square one and I’m just feeling so down, worn out and stressed. I just don’t know what to do.

Hi please listen to my story

Hello sis, congratulations on your baby. Firstly, you need to take a deep breath and tell yourself that you are a GOOD mum.

Now, let me be blunt: take your stand and don't let anybody put you under any pressure. If you feel giving your baby formula will give you peace of mind and make you enjoy your baby as you ought to, please go ahead. Let your husband know (without quarreling) that's your decision and ignore whatever your MIL says or does.

I know but dealing with the dirty looks from my mil and constant side talks is very draining right now. She has been helpful yes, but I can’t deal with her behaviour towards me just because I want to bottle feed her grandchild. Is it not yesterday that she said I’m abusing her grandchild and the baby will grow up with problems if I continue being stubborn. I’m honestly breaking down.

Please calm down. Is there someone that can talk to her? Preferably a nurse or doctor? Do you have any SIL that can help talk to her? Also, your husband knows his mother and how best to talk to her. But in all, be strong. You are somebody's mother now so you need to be strong for your baby. You can also talk to your doctor.

Lillianade E-hugs mama.
When it comes to the issue of MIL, I would advise you to press your ignore button. I'm typing from experience, discuss whatever issue that is bothering you with your hubby. If Mil start again, go emotional on her "mama how can you say I'm selfish, would you be happy if my child go hungry all because of ebf. Don't you consider me your daughter that you're using the word selfish etc(any other thing she had said before) on me. Would you say the same to your daughter. Is not fair, I took you as my mum etc"
Be dramatic and be polite too.

Funny enough they won't tell their own daughter that, my Mil even told her daughter to be giving her child bm and water before she'll us sucking and drain her. Mil said the opposite to me when my daughter was small. Hubby and I quarreled over it but i still insisted, he even hid the milk. This was the same hubby that agreed to milk cos my daughter refused breast milk at 3m(the story long abeg) Mil just woke up one day, packed her load and said she's not staying again.

Abeg just ignore, is well
