Did u have to do a factory reset after updating?

A good update doesn't need a factory reset

Please my guys, I'm tired of this note 8. The network sucks. My MTN has not been working but inserted same SIM card into my sister's redmi 7A and it's working perfectly fine with strong 4G.

Like I explained earlier, I haven't succeeded in restoring my second space after disabling the lock. All this issues came up after I tried to hid the second space form the setting of first space.

I need help my fellas. I'm already tired of this note 8

Serious wahala for xiaomi, na wa oo. I said one bad thing about xiaomi, this guy called 2kurupt made his way to make sure I got banned from quoting. This is stupidity for nairaland.

Note 7 and note 8 is the last budget friendly phone from redmi series.
Point of correction, Redmi note 10 hasn't been released, wat was released is Mi note 10
#thankyou

Hello guys,

I have been a Widows phone user for years, but as with the end of windows phone, am trying to switch to other makes reluctantly. I have used Infinix hot S that i received as a gift back in 2016, In fact i still use it for my social media interactions (I don't receive calls with it). I need to change it , cause its slow and has limited space (16gb) + it runs Android 7 etc.

Now i still use my windows phones to make & receive calls only. I am currently looking for a phone to replace these phones , one that would do both calls and social media etc. I have been observing these Chinese brands e.g Xaomi & co , they don't seem to be popular like the samsungs and iphones , but it seems they give high specs @ lower price.

I'am considering Xaomi currently looking at Redmi Note 8 Pro/Mi 9/Mi 9SE/Mi Note 10. Please what can you guys tell me about the Xaomi brand (Usability, Convenience, Battery drain, Heat, OS Update, Durability, Camera Quality, maintenance , resell value) etc. For example the Mi Note 10 comes with a "108MP rear camera", while the Redmi Note 8 Pro boasts of a "64 MP" quad camera setup please how good are these photos ?? whats your experience with older models of Xaomi ? are these just bogus claims ? are the cameras as fantastic as their Mega Pixel numbers?

Thanks in advance .
Head to YouTube (Techtablets channel) for video or gsmarena for written reviews. Someone will still say he/she needs user experience as if all these online channels are not reliable

good evening bro, please shed more light on the factory reset part... is it mandatory? if yes, why? I'd like to update but factory reset is too much a price for me to pay at the moment!!!

It's just advisable not that it's necessary. After a major update, it's advisable to do a factory reset because most of the issues some of us encounter here after a major upgrade can be fixed with a factory reset.

But, if you update and don't face any, there's no need for that.

Mi Note 10 is not under the Redmi series. Don't confuse it.
