It's just advisable not that it's necessary. After a major update, it's advisable to do a factory reset because most of the issues some of us encounter here after a major upgrade can be fixed with a factory reset.

But, if you update and don't face any, there's no need for that.

CC: madgoat

I've used several Xiaomi phone models over the years and I've never factory reset my phones after an update, yet they still run fine.

Did you miss where I stated that it's not necessary?

I deliberately used that word because I know I'll definitely be quoted out of context if I don't use it. And here we are.

Plus, I also added that if they update and don't face any issues, then there's no need for that.

Now, point to where I stated that it won't run fine.

Sometimes, it's very good to just waka and pass. I know you are a good guy but you'll definitely give everyone the impression that you are very troublesome. Hence, why most people have issues with you here.

Thank you and Good morning.

Redmi series are no longer budget friendly devices!! Thier recent note 10 cost about 140k

Note 7 and note 8 is the last budget friendly phone from redmi series.
There are:Redmi Series, Redmi Note Series, Redmi K Series, Mi Series, Mi Note Series, Mi A Series, Mi CC Series etc. There are budget/entry level Redmis, Mid range Redmis and "Flagship" Redmis. So it depends on which Redmis you talking about, don't get it twisted!

Oga, how did I misinformed him?
didn't I say pre-install Google play services?
so Google play store is not under Google play services?
You either read n understand my reply to his question before running to conclusion!
That's not a HIM, it's a Her.... And you did misinform the person. It was a simple question that deserves a straightforward answer yet you wrote NO in capitals. Not everyone understands what "Google play services" entails.

A gift of gold is expensive, a gift of money is well appreciated, but the gift of being alive is priceless. Only the living celebrate it. Because you have the privilege by GOD to see the light of today, I pray that your eyes will not see evil, your ears will not hear evil, your feet will not enter the traps and evil nets of your adversaries. The evil arrows that fly in the day and night will not hit you and any member of your family.

A gift of gold is not expensive if you hire someone to steal it back.
A gift of money is not appreciated in Zimbabwe where the money has no value.
The gift of life has a price, just ask around on the darkweb.
Blind people are also alive yet they can't See this light of day you talk about.
Question: why are you so obsessed about evil people who are out to get ur eyes, ears and feet? Is this evidence of a paranoid delusion?
Again, what's with the evil arrows?

You have made me read all this stuff that has made me a little mad and I'm supposed to want buy mtn cards now, am I? Is this a good marketing strategy?

I got mine from Jboixxx for a token. After successful integration, you will be required to format as internal storage or porta ke device if its the first time of using the mmc.. Advise is, toy choose external storage (portable device) so u can stil make use of the mmc outside another device if need be. You can lookup Jboixxx compilation list for more enlightenment

Thank you but you are the one that think so o. Most of us know the drill on this thread. You suppose don know too.

Plus, if he wasn't trying to counter me, there won't be any need for his comment since I addressed it totally.

It's a two way thing.

You ain't new on this thread. You ought to know that there are some (I didn't say him, unless he's trying to) that likes stirring unnecessary argument here. That was the reason I made the post like that.

I made use of the statement "not necessarily" because I know there are some people that will want to make a big deal out of it and I wasn't disappointed.
