I pity desperate people who will soon lose their money.

TB should be reduced to 1 to 2% to force investors to invest in business to create jobs for our economy.

Someone with 50m is hiding in TB for easy money instead of going into real sector. Bad for our economy

You have been clamoring about 1% and 2% in some of your posts. Why are you so bitter about people borrowing the Government their money.. I don't understand ***. Just leave this thread if you're not comfortable

Not fear of starting but running, is it not better as your working full-time job get some small regular above bank interest investment than get heart breaks from than invest in the criminally ridden real sector where you have stratas of sheeps in wolf clothing parading as managers waiting to devour your hard earned money, wasting it on frivolities

Bitter kee grin grin

Quit crying already and look for a business to set up.

Borrowing govt money is a good thing but should be at 1% Max for 365 since u DNT know what to use money for.

Thank God CBN has realized this already and TB rates a heading to 1%

Stop responding to trolls. Not everyone is happy you have money to invest in tb.They rather blame you for having money and believe you are the source of their misery. Individuals that have money are to blame for high level of unemployment in Nigeria than the govt.

They don't pay interest upfront; they always add one or two digits to CBN rates.

If you are close to/have the ears of the Government/CBN governor and his crew please tell them to stop borrowing money from Nigerians at all. The 1 or 2% is too much a favour already and also their foreign partners and cronies are there to borrow them anytime they need at very high rates.

If not all your rants here will not have effect. You may even end up getting sad for lack of patronage/failed intend to swindle you masquerade here as patriotism.

I feel sorry for my generation. No longer does rational healthy discussions prove important and a source of learning.

At every bend, we all want to prove more knowledgeable, more wise, richer and then we miss out on what's much more important, the learning from other persons in areas we need some upticks,or the pruning of our own intellect like stimulative like-minds.

Its always fighting on every issue that we miss out on learning, improving seeing new perspectives , broadening our own horizons. For what trophy in the end I wonder often times.

What a shame. Civility and the pride from humble learning and the need to constantly improve has been eroded and replaced by the need to appear as the winner in any discussions making talks unhealthy and combative. Smh.

What do I know? Nothing plz

But the government can go elsewhere to borrow money? Go to China, Russia, ADB, etc to borrow money?
I don’t blame the typical pull him down Nigerian hater like you, I just blame the free oil money most of you are enjoying, without the free oil money I will see how government can fund the budget and and still keep the country afloat.

You people don’t understand that some of us don’t earn any penny from Nigeria, we earn money abroad, bring down to Nigeria and you want us to invest in an unstable Nigeria economy because?
You people should stop replying those guys please.

chaii, this people don get us 9% for 182days, those that locked in on fg bonds at 16-17% years ago must be feeling lucky now smiley

I will watch this movie to the end. It's not the first time we have seen this happen.

If government believe so much in the economy, why can't they use the borrowed money to create the said jobs in the real sector? Yeye dey smell.

nope I rather buy 75 by 50 for 10m ,Then develop 2 floor of 3 bedroom ,I will live in one flat ,Then rent the 2 put for 1.2m each ....total income is 2.4m ....then I can review rents ,mantaince my enviroments ,upgrade .....in 7 years time I will sell my property for 80m while the t.b only guy with 4.8 m income will rent 1.5m (plus agency fees ) might do renovations ,face rent increases and quit notice...loss bids ,cbn policey change ,tb rate drops to 8 percent or less while rent is up .....cash temptation....upward review of property price ....or I buy apartment 15m then fix 25m in tb
sorry to say but you cannot sell such property at that price after 7yrs. and 80m property yielding mere 2.4m is piss poor!

plus trust me you don't want to live with your tenants, you are better off renting your own space and going to live somewhere else. Tenants wahala daily can shorten your lifespan, rent it all and leave it to a realtor to manage while he gets % from the annual rent. (5% standard)

We are saying the same thing

Govt will borrow from you at 1% for 365 days to create the job

Bottom line - TB should be the least attractive investment in a healthy economy.

All the ones they have been borrowing, where are the jobs they have created with it? If they have been creating the jobs, ogawisdom would be gainfully employed by now and won't have the time to transfer his aggression to investors.

U have a strong point but if u live in naija u would agree with me that, as a people,we have been ridiculed, we are barely clinging to life. even the so called rich people can't move around freely without armed escort.

WE live on the edge in naija cos anything can happen and nobody would be held accountable.

In naija it's all man to himself and God for us all, so forgive us sometimes when we refuse to see the bigger picture cos those that have the power to change things have abandoned us, we would continue to scamper for d closest clue to financial relieve(not success). Why do u think MMM made a killing in naija.

Hopefully one day things will get better.

Those guys have different monikers, if you look closely and deeper you will know the person behind the monikers.

Although he promised to leave the forum, but it is almost impossible for him to do.

Discussions about Treasury Bills which is the primary objective of this thread are healthy.

Hahahhahah, do u know why I laughed? because i just got a 3yrs bond with 16.39% coupon and yield of 12.06 wit Stanbic brokers.

If u like, stay here and be looking for when TB will get to 1%. Go and make money and stop being jealous of innocent young people trying to expand there horizon. Everyone here is way smarter than u and also know when to diversify there investments.

Las las now, you will find one innocent uncle and start laying accusations on how he tied you with juju that made u poor.
