I told you so, but I am yet to watch ep2.

From what I read, people are not happy that the show is just 32minutes. And out of the 32minutes, 6 minutes is for recap, intro etc.

Will let you know what I think when I watch it.

BTW, What are your thoughts on the new 4 MCU movies + MCU TV shows per year slate? Is it going to affect the DCEU?

Comic book fatigue is when the audience will start getting bored with CBM.

Take for example, DC has 3 movies for 2021, MCU has 4, Sony marvel releases 1-2 movies... That will be about 9 CB movies per year alone

Ehh. The MCU thread is silent mostly because there isn't much interesting stuff going on between now and 2021. As for the Joker, its success is well deserved.

what's really surprising is how joker made 1billion, without China, even in Nigeria there is no buzz abt it like there usually is abt MCU movies, joker is not a kinda of movie most ppl will like to watch multiple times, I guess the movie was just destined to succeed.. cus i still don't see anythy special abt the movie, mayb it's just me though

Like I have always said, problem with DC was Snyder, the moment he was fired DC was bound to be back in the game. I just can't wait for the Batman, Aquaman 2 and black Adam. Who wanna bet black Adam will make more money than Shazam simply because it doesn't have that children appeal that Shazam did

Who else can't wait to see how the show down between black Adam and avarter 2 will turn out next 2yrs.

children appeal wasn't what brought shazam down. Endgame and c0mpetiti0n did. Plus, the film was really average. N0thing special.

Lol. That's true though. There's a really weird vibe around the film and sometimes it feels overrated as hell. Contrary to what most DC fans love to believe, it's not the best 2019 CBM and far from the best CBM of all time in my opinion. Then again, all CBMs that were released between 2017 and 2019 with the exception of Dark Phoenix and Justice League have been thoroughly enjoyable for me. The box office numbers do not surprise me mostly because the Joker is a cultural icon with a massive albeit toxic fanbase that is only surpassed by the Big Three: Superman, Spider-Man & Batman.
