If there's one thing you don't do in FUTA, you DON'T FIGHT!!!!!!

Why do we have two of this on homepage?

It is in all schools. No fighting on campus.

I just dey read comments dey laugh... See let's be honest we're all human...if a girl runs her mouth too much.. 90% of y'all saying you won't beat or slap na lie una dey lie... You'd tell me that a girl will insult my generation, or insult my mother or father maybe just because I stepped on her toes..and I won't retaliate by giving her a sound reformatting slap... Abi shey dem dey report insult for station ni

But in this video this beating was very uncalled for and those girls deserve to be beaten too then expelled..as for that guy I nor blame ham...if you watch the video fully you'd see he was now later trying to stop the girls from beating the girl after he don do him own con realize say e Bleep up

there are too many miscreants who have no business being in universities, making life difficult for actual students. what is the difference between these thugs and cult members? in 2000, i returned from IT to find that some expelled ambrose alli students had entered unilorin, introducing full blown cultism to a school where cultism had been on the low low. now girls who read in class till 2am were all scared out of their wits. if the universities had a proper database , there would be no revolving door for miscreants in universities, and everyone would face their academics squarely.

you think thugs like that will fit in corporate nigeria? years ago, a friend had a horror story of how he was serving with an ex cult boy in uba. one day they were in the bathroom, and the guy removed shirt, showed scars and went on a rant of how he was tired of taking shit from the ogas, who were supposed to be cowering and fearing him. fortunately, the police resolved the issue by coming to arrest him. seems the guy had been doing armed robberies while waiting for NYSC callup.

someone else has listed the full set of crimes of these thugs. who knows what it would have escalated to if this video was not available. possible outright sexual harassment and rape.

nothing to defend here. we have plenty of their kind on this very forum.

violent buffoons

But technically, your son is violent too now, and you are training your daughter to be violent.

I have some years of amateur boxing experience, and even though boxing is a sport, it doesn't remove the fact that it is a violent sport.

Rather than call them miscreants, you can talk about reforming them through sublimation. Even Anthony Joshua was a bully but his aggression was sublimated into an acceptable act of violence. Today, Joshua is the most marketable fighter in the world.

do you know anything about the psychology of self defense in martial arts?
do you understand that people trained in martial arts are trained to be extremely self disciplined and to act defensively rather than aggressively?
go and read up on the restraint of black belters. one of the reasons the path to a black belt is long and hard is so hat by the time you achieve mastery, you also have maturity. you can kill a man with your bare hands, but you have the discipline and maturity not to do so

You don't need to go to all schools now. grin What is the essence of education if it revolves around only one subject or only the school you attended

No school allows fighting on campus. Even BBN which is not a school disqualified Tacha for fighting.

So, it is a normal stuff.

Self-defense is defined as the right to prevent suffering force or violence through the use of a sufficient level of counteracting force or violence.
https://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-law-basics/self-defense-overview.html

From that definition, I bet you can see my point. You talked so proudly about your son kicking asses but seemed so disgusted by the violence shown in the video in the OP to the extent that you would rather not give these misguided children another chance at redeeming themselves.

You mentioned maturity and discipline as if they are opposites of violence.

my son will stop anyone that tries to bully him, or bully any of his friends.
if my son is in a situation like that, all he will have to do is grab one of those thugs in a humilaiting hold, immediately defusing the situation

i understand that for some reason, you feel that there is an excuse or reprieve for this behavior, so let us just agree to disagree

i have raised my own children to have respect for the rights of others , and not to go out of their way looking for trouble. unfortunately, to Nigerians many in the mold of these futa students, and probably you as well, well behaved, buta children or people are mugus to be taken advantage of, bullied and chanced. that is where taekwondo - which is very very different from the boxing which you seem to love referencing comes into play.

you see a lot of them on these very forums, resorting to threats of violence and rape against people who disagree with them.

Traditional Korean martial arts place emphasis on the development of the practitioner's spiritual and philosophical development. A common theme in most Korean styles, such as Taekkyon and taekwondo, is the value of "inner peace" in a practitioner, which is stressed to be only achievable through individual meditation and training. The Koreans believe that the use of physical force is only justifiable for defense.[citation needed]

You sound like an emotional person, and excessively emotional people are prone to violence.

First of all, I have condemned the act of the students, and I strongly believe that they are deserving of expulsion because it is against the policies of every sane society to resort to barbarism such as this.

However, I belong to the school of thought that believes that it is better to prevent crime than to punish it.

You want them stopped from pursuing higher education. When they turn to other means of getting whatever they had felt formal education would have given them, and they turn into armed robbers and a menace to the society, it is still people like you who would cry foul.

These students did a terrible thing, but it doesn't mean we should deny them chances of higher education. That was the problem I had with your post. If you hate violence so much that you would rather that these kids be denied the opportunity of further education, then one would expect you to be a meek man who detests violence even as a form of self-defense.

In summary, the students should be punished so that they can be informed of the gravity of their crime caused by their immaturity and stupidity. But, after punishment, there should be forgiveness.

Let us say while your son was counteracting force with force and someone died in his hand, do you think the law would think otherwise about sending him to prison? Even rape victims go to jail for manslaughter.

I cannot see myself beating or bullying a person. so i cannot make any excuse for them. you obviously can see your self domg both, which is why you so rapidly jump to pushing for leniency in dealing with psychotic bullies. we do not know what you did during your days as a boxer.maybe you are a 'reformed' cult boy or university rapist who got away with it and are now living a good life where you never had to make restitution for your actions . of course you will defend and support your comrades in arms.

you probably have the malady of so many boxers, too many blows to the head have reduced whatever cognition you may have had in the past. i have had talks with my sons sensei about mental discipline and restraint. he told me about when he got his black belt. they got a guy to deliberately provoke him. the idea was to goad hi into violence. and he didn't respond. that was when they took him to the next level. i guess this will all be over your head - you being a boxer and all. no restraint or mental discipline in boxing - i mean look at ear biting, rapist mike tyson. tongue. people in martial arts are trained to have restraint. [if i repeat it long enough, maybe it will sink in] if you do not know what restraint is, maybe you should try martial arts sometime.

slow thinker - actions must have consequences. the biggest problem in this country is that too many people feel they can behave with impunity. the fact that these idiots posted this video shows you how confident they were in their violence. if you are sacked from your office for fighting, and your next potential employer is informed of this, will you get the job? you think people want unhinged nutcases in the office?

Another emotional outburst grin

First of all, I never called for leniency. I support expulsion and possible jail terms or option of a fine for assault. But that is enough as they commensurate with the crime the students committed. There should be fairness in judgment. Killing someone for stealing Maggis is a bad justice because it is unfair.

Second, you are very quick to call these people psychotic bullies when no one has even diagnosed them with psychosis yet nor do they have records of bullying that you know about. And supposing they are even psychotic bullies, are you telling me that even psychotic bullies can't be reformed or helped through cognitive therapies?

You can get all personal and call me names, you can even call me a bully, I understand the ways of emotional people too well cheesy

But I will stick to my argument that your suggestion is too harsh and does not commensurate with their crimes.

You say boxers don't have restraints and discipline, do I have to make a list of mixed martial artists who were worse?

From Anthony Johnson getting violent with women to Charles Bennet raping women and getting one of his victims pregnant to Julian Wallace beating up his girlfriend over mere noodles (such level of restrain cheesy ) And there was M. Falcao groping women in public. And yes, Harold Howard who ran a self-defense school (the type your son and daughter attend) but who also enjoyed breaking into homes.

The list is endless.

good to see you have been busy engaging in extensive research .you sound like our resident tribalists who take the actions of a few deviants to tar entire tribes or races. see as you desperately went hunting for stories of bad martial artists.

i can do what you did for people in any field of endeavor. if i know your tribe / race/religionpolitical leanings , i can also look for endless articles which prove you are the most foul being to walk the face of the earth. very smart work, einsten.

What do you do? Are you a doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer? I can get nasty stories of any profession in the planet.

but you failed to answer a simple question

He has a very low self esteem because he is ugly, that is why he has to do the sisi and amenbo job for the demented lady whether he can still have a taste of the kpekus as there is still a very high chance that he is still virgin at that age, not because he wants to, but because of his low self esteem, he feel rejected by ladies.

Most ugly people are always like that, except for a few like me.

And for the girls; that is ashawo for you. They are always violent whether offended or not.

And for that guy that supported the beating and boast of engaging in such; make una leave am, he never jam he mate nai cause am.

My prayer for him is that, when he finally meet his mate in violence, he should be able to live to tell the tales.
