You need to get a good paying job which is usually not open to foreigners except you were transferred there as an expatriate working with a foreign company.

Having said the above, the costs depends solely on your choice and living standards. Things are dammn expensive here but you can survive same way as the locals are but that may be way below your living standard currently in Nigeria.

No power cuts in Ghana. It is almost perfect when it comes to electricity. They have good drainage systems, almost crime free compared to Naija. But the water is nothing to write home about. Ghana is expensive, especially transportation. As for jobs, Ghana Laws are very strict on foreigners.

I would advise you take time off, visit for a week or two and look around, you just might be lucky to get something going for you before making that decision to relocate.

It might be good for you say you're into remote work like the freelancer thing, stable power and internet access are good here but again, Naija boys have made it look as if everyone is a yahoo boy or person such that you might be reported to the authorities if they see you don't go out to work.

You can work as a designer in the publishing sector and if you're good at what you do, believe me the sky will be ur limit.
I want to talk about accomodation but I need to know your plans for it b4 I can say what I want to say next.

Unless you are loaded, don't try it. School fees for your child will be paid in usd unless the dad is a Ghanaian
Ghana is sweet when you have money otherwise it will end in tears and regret. Accra mosquitoes are not kind either.

Getting residence permit without a job is almost impossible. Staying more than 90 days without residence permit is a risk .You dont want your village pipu to see your pictures splashed all over facebook and Nairaland with the tag "Nigerian ashewo caught in Zongo junctio" written over her face. Work towards getting a job by applying online from Nigeria, if you fancy going to Ghana.
