The truth is that we are just a bunch of heartless people. The fear of God and religious injunctions mean little or nothing to us. No one wants to be paraded on TV for a crime he did not commit. Nigerian Police that are never friends with people can make an example whoever takes the person to hospital. Reporting the situation to the police can help though but it's a risk.

Not the job of bystanders to rush her to hospital. That is why the government's in sane countries put in place something called emergency services via 911, police, fire and ambulance would have arrived in minutes. I guess this is one of the perils of living in a third world African nation.
