BeachTime: You know on a much lesser scale, Ebony state is using this model to develop its infrastructure! It's not depending on huge and costly construction giants but rather is thinking outside the box and using its own human and material resources to build critical infrastructure. A huge part of personnel and materials they use for construction are sourced in-house. 2 Likes |

BeachTime: In case you don't know the government officials don't want to develop. And nobody should fool himself about diversifying the economy if all those clowns do is share money from the federal level down, and not each state generating its own revenue and paying a part to the centre as practised in countries with serious people. 2 Likes |

BeachTime:Ignorant illiterate rubbish. We do not spend dollars in Nigeria. Those who are familiar with the concept of Purchasing Power Parity will realise how foolish your dollar comparison is. How much is a haircut in Lagos compared to New York?? It is clear that this is an attention seeking thread and you have not made any effort to develop a rational argument Your argument takes the Form ( Mr Ronaldo will never prosper in life because he earns less than $1 daily." It is a senseless argument Countries develop over time and this is based on their people not cashflow Of course we need to agree what "development" means Germany had most of its cities levelled in World War two . Japan was nuked and they bounced back to become number 2 and number 3 economies Rather than spouting unintelligent assertions why not think and ask "how do poor countries develop"? According to your logic POOR COUNTRIES WILL NEVER DEVELOP The reality is very different If we aggressively educate our people over time WE WILL DEVELOP Let me tell you what many do not know In the 1950s there was starvation in China. It was not uncommon for human flesh to be sold packaged as something else. 60 years later they are the number 2 economy(60 YEARS!! Development is not about Concrete and Steel but Human capital If mankind was forced to evacuate this planet and move to Mars and start all over again with no machines, no electricity etc Which set of people will prosper That is what being developed is all about |

One of the most inhibiting factor to our development is not lack of resources, but cultural deficiency, religion and our value. The most people that are responsible for our underdevelopment is the educated and elite class. I always wonder why their education has not made them transform their environment |

Lol..see nigerians deceiving their selves.. that one is saying you will generate over $750b a year from tax seriously? Lol.. you need strong laws, good leaders, and also good planning and management to develop... if you don't know how to plan and spend wealth, you will just waste it. |
