oh no! may God comfort your family members and friends! not ideal to just wake up and jump in the swimming pool if you haven't swim in a long time, same thing applies to other exercises, you need to warm up and take it gradually if you don't want to die of heart and blood pressure related complications.

He probably had a Cardiac Arrest (what most people commonly called Heart Attack) all he needed was resuscitation, so no one good give him Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)??

Is so unfortunate that their a very low level of awareness in the society on simple first aid in cases like this, I think maybe as a starting point all youth corp members should be given trained as first aiders during their 3 weeks orientation and gradually we can begin to create a society where people can respond effectively during emergency situations like this, May his soul Rest in Peace!

No need to ridicule him.
When people haven't exercised for long and suddenly resume, it can be fatal.
I injured myself in 4x100relay in school and since then, I can't run without pains. So I don't run at all.
I rode my bicycle as a kid up and down for hours. After 15years, got on a bike and tried again. I couldn't even go more than 20meters. My legs were on fire. Little by little, I was able to build up to 40m, 100m, 500m, 1km, 10km, 20km...
My best so far now is 25km.

Jogging is not the only alternative to healthy living, always check your self regularly before embarking on that suicide journey in the name of keeping fit.

You did not read properly before commenting, he was in the mist of his red cross members when the incident occurred and they tried their best to resuscitate him to no avail before he was rushed to the hospital.
