Without Mixing words, 90% of cars in Nigeria has that Check indicator light on.

exhausted all options to check if my car was healthy, i was made to understand that though my car was in good condition and ok, but the reason my check light was still on is because I didn't get my parts directly from the manufacturer.
No matter how well u try to clear it off, it will still resurface.
So i totally don't agree with OP's idea that check light indicates an unhealthy engine

Your engine check light is probably on because of your emission system. Go and have it checked. That's what causes most check engine lights that stays on

Your check engine light came up because your car rim has the tpms (tire pressure monitoring sensor) build inside it. Your new set didn't have them. Your car ECM couldn't dictect the sensor signal after the change causing it to pop those light on.

Failure of the TPMS or the absence of the sensors won't turn on the check engine light. The TPMS light will come on but not the chef engine light.

It has a fault somewhere. It could be emission related like a missing catalytic converter which will not affect the engine performance but polutting the atmosphere. It can be a malfunctioning sensor. It can mean a whole lot. Reason while you need to run a scan to know what exactly it is.

Sorry for derailing the topic, please I want to ask for opinions about the 2004 Nissan pathfinder. How reliable is it? Is it a problematic car? Thanks for ur advice.
