The word of God is not an individual imagination. It isn't conceived by man and should not be credited/discredited to any man.

You lose focus on God's word when you read the Bible in the perspective of who wrote the letter. Though sometimes perspectives are taken into consideration

The scripture you quoted (1 Tim 6:16) is referring to God.. 'who no man has seen or can see'. Read the preceding verses to understand this.
