After 3 days fire-brigade with my mondeo, the clutch hydraulic hose decided to leak fluid and Am clutchless.

Was wearing my usual white and couldn't work on it myself.

After struggling to park it somewhere in lekki 1, I engaged a kazeem to loosen the hose.

While he was at it, I was repeatedly dialing my contact at ojuelegba to send the replacement to no avail.

Kazeem loosened it and suggested we weld it. Ok. No problem. Take money and proceed.

1hour later, he's back.
Fixes the hose, refill with DOT4 , and am pumping the clutch for the bleeding process.
It's still leaking somewhere.

Lo and behold, the rubber clip at one end of the hose is missing, so it doesn't fit into the connector.

Am getting angry.

Kazeem where is this rubber clip na ?

We start searching and searching perhaps it fell off somewhere

Am still calling ojuelegba, no response.

After almost 2hours no rubber found.

It's now clear in my eyes that my beloved mondeo will sleep outside.

Am in an uber heading home now. Thanks to 3900 uber promo.

I was at dia office to renew papers on Wednesday, one of dem ask me, if the papers r for uber? I just look at her, smile and said no. Bolt/Uber generate income like any other commercial vehicle, so they are supposed to use the red plate number which is meant for commercial purpose that uses the LASDRI & Hackney permit. When next you sight them, put your phone out of reach any other questions outside your papers r irrelevant and you should treat it as such, irrespective of riders sitting position.

As you get familiar with routes, don't hang phones. When you start a trip, scroll through the map to know the suggested route, and keep your phone. If anyone stops you, tell them that you aren't an uber driver. Simple.
